    I asked my grandmother why the houses in our suburb of the village (Juaben, Agona Nyakrom, Ghana) were almost all joined together. Her answer was she was told it was because of slave raiders! you could easily escape when they come! this for me is evidence of resistance.

    Correction Please...the boycott was not organized by the UGCC. In fact, they were somewhat and somehow caught unawares in the rapturous aftermath which coupled with the 28th February Crossroads Shooting of Sgt. Adjetey et al feeding into the riots that followed. The boycott was the brain child of Nii Kwabena Bonne, Chief of Osu Alata in Accra who by then, doubled as Oyokohene of the Tekyiman stool. Thank you! Brilliant work, kudos!

      King Prempeh II was exiled by the british in 1896 as the Asante was seized by 1900
