Even on standard graphics in the benchmark, everything looks more crisp & clean & the colors are more vivid. I cant believe that i am going to be able to play such a good looking ff14 after playing for 9 months. I am happy that this game is as good as it is, the new expansion should be fun. I also recommend playing the game like two weeks after the official launch of dawntrail due to que lines.
Honestly Dawntrail is much needed, Yes the consistan buildups and constant near world ending events are cool, But the whole idea that Dawntrail is just you being an adventurer unvailing hidden secrets and evil plots is a nice change of pace. The fact that theyre also focusing on more large scale community focused things in game is a nice change also. Graphics are cool and all but the changes that they're making is refreshing and I am all for it.

Interestingly enough when i was playing through the beggining of endwalker was also when the DawnTRAILER released and i was a little disappointed that the theme was so lighthearted. After playing through 6.0-6.55 oooooh boy, i am so ready for something like a vacation, something different and i'm sure we'll be also surprised -- LIKE, WHAT IS SOLUTION 9?
AAAAh, the eternal dilemma. Do I watch all the Dawntrail content and rob myself of experiencing it for the first time. Or do I avoid it, and get rid of youtube for 3 weeks.
It's great to see but I really want to know how it looks and performs on PS5. It currently plays a nice smooth 60 fps at 1440p and I'm hoping it will retain that in Dawntrail. Does anyone know if there is any PS5 performance information?
Hopefully Yoshi's "meaningful experiences" addresses the fact that 98% of my duty finder runs are nothing is ever said beyond "Hurry up!". A silent duty finder run is quite boring and demoralizing imo.
I really hope in the future they work more towards giving us a reason besides fate gem grinding to spend time on the actual maps after you finish the expansion/patch story. To me this is the biggest downfall of FFXIV for me. After the initial oooh and ahhh of an expansion, its another 9 months of sitting at the FC house registering into duties sitting in the same spot.
Im just hoping they shake up the unvarying gameplay loop of grinding for +5 item level on gear you dont make any meaningful choices on, on classes that are all the same. Used to love this game, played since pre reborn, but ever since like post heavensward they have settled into the most boring none RPG mindsets. I def think asmon and the wow refugess had a lot to do with it. I even transfered off cactuar.
Im getting my fill now to stop playing when dt comes out. Just, 60 plus sub and server congestion. I can play other games then come back to see how drg and ast were cleaned up, at least if the story isnt too insufferable.
I look forward to seeing what Dawn Trail brings. However, I have some reservations. Unless 14 fixes the lack of mid core content, the gear ilvls in relation and other rewards, and the homogenization of tanks and healers, the game will just be a continuation of what it has been with a different story arc. -Some classes are not meant to be played by everyone, they might just be too hard or too time consuming and that's okay. - everyone should not have access to the highest level gear. That should be for hardcore raiders. The lack of midcore content means that there isn't a real progression when it comes to gear. They need to spread the ilvls apart more, and you should have to do casual content in order to do gaming content in order to do mid-tier content in order to do hard content in order to do Savage content.
@@alchemi8085 A lot more dungeons, like they used to make "hard modes" of dungeons in ARR. But make them less of a snooze fest. Anything that is 4 man content bc getting a 4some is easier than an 8some. The rewards and gear should reflect the level of the content you have access to according to your skill level. Midcore content may be easy to savage raiders, but it should not be a "gimme" in terms of a WAR soloing it the first month it's out, like they do now, or SCHs falling asleep and the tank self heals and pet heal are enough to win. Keep that in easy mode casual.

dye channels were long overdue. Numerous MMOs, even those before FF14 and F2P ones have 3 to 4 dye channels commonly.
