I’d like to point out that I’m always in riding pants and boots when I’m on a motorcycle. As some people have pointed out, you may well feel more heat if you ride in thin sneakers - or less protective footwear.
there is a team which works on the content and also the linss, from cut to cut and retakes it is rehearsed, edited and lit up if required and shot. As for people not in the business , they always think of it as a single take impromptu video.
Hands down the best motorcycle reviewer out there. The way he explains things..the simplicity and the ease with which he touches every aspect of the bike is unmatched and unrivalled.Great review brother keep up the good work mate.
Great job, Rishaad. For me Rishaad has turned out to be the source of truth for motorcycle reviews, and that's as big of a compliment as it gets, as I have been following automobile journalists since the early 2000s.
Articulate, brilliant with his choice of words, no nonsense and just keeping it simple and real with the reviews. Rishaad is just in league of his own. Good job once again Sir!
I really appreciate you giving figures like mileage, 0-100, 60-0 etc. Those are the things manufacturers don't include in the specs and as a viewer we need help from you and almost all reviewers are getting lazy to do that. Thank you for including those useful things rather than saying good power or good mileage like every other reviewers.
Rishaad simply gives the best reviews out there. While others are just trying to soothen the delivery to remain in the good books of the manufacturer Rishaad simply gives his honest reviews and observations. Keep it coming mate! Cheers.
Eagerly waiting for the tubeless spoke wheels to be available. Not picking up the bike until then. My luggage is very minimal and around 12kgs out of which almost 4kgs is tubes and tools to change tubes. With the tubeless spoke wheels I can ditch even more weight from my luggage and enjoy my riding even more.
Rishaad's communication skills and his way of articulating things are as good his riding skills. Clearely he is way above all reviewers..good job man !
I think RE single cylinder fan boys will miss the low end torque with this Himalayan 450, but will experience a huge vibration improvement over triple digit speeds, and new techs 😆😆
Rishaad's bike reviews sound like your best friend and travel buddy telling you about the bike he's riding when we're on a chai-pakora ride and we've reached our destination. All that's missing is him leaning towards you and starting with "Bro, listen...." At least that's how I feel. Dude's so relatable and one of the main reasons I love watching bike reviews on this channel. Plus it helps that he's my height and build so i get a good idea of how I'll fit on every bike hahaha.
Rishab is a man of details, simplicity, to the point and as true as possible. What a review! And as its rightly said being simple is difficult and that's where the zen feeling comes in :) Kudos to the editor Mr. Vinayak Badekar as well; as they say that a good film is made on the editing table. Overall a true, great and honest review!
Im 14 i cant wait to be 18 and buy this monster i have saved a lot of funds by scholarships so just cant wait to own one. I rode 411 cc himalayan but not this one.
I am 21 and I would suggest that whatever you have saved up put that money towards index funds , mutual funds ,stocks, bonds etc and don't touch it for 10+ years trust me your future self will thank you for it In 2020 TVS stocks were 300rs now they are very high (don't know the exact rate)
Another great review, great attention to detail and this time it looks like the bike has lived up to your review standards, and I'm not exaggerating yet, I can go into that. This is my most conjoos and conservative compliment on your review. 😎 Keep up your great work
RE may lose some shorter riders. But being a tall man with very long legs I loved how big the bike is. I stepped into a RE showroom to see if Shotgun is there. But I was in love the moment I had my legs around the 450
The review mentions that this is a big bike, maybe that is true in India. Here in the UK this is nowhere near as big as my Transalp 750 or the Suzuki 800DE, and there are other bikes that are bigger still. It all depends what you are used to. It has a 2" increase in the wheelbase over the 411 and this will help it sell well on the global market. I am waiting for mine to arrive in the UK....and waiting, and waiting and...💤 (Good review BTW, agree about the flasher)
The concern over low torq over very low fwd speed and eng rpm is valid...But a simple correction called, say, 'electronic idling rpm control' can fix it, considering its an electronically controlled ride by wire mpfi engine... So, a selectable push button can be installed, to raise the idling to min say 2000 at fwd speeds less than say 10 kmph...when de selected, the idling will dip down to it currently set normal idling value, regardless of fwd speed...Now, how do you like my "patentable idea' ...?? Greetings from a Retd AF jock
Finally I have watched a unbiased and practical review. Thank you Bro. But can you confirm us if there is any cone set issue or any other handle bar issue like older siblings?
REQUEST: Just a full fledged comparison between re450 , ktm 390 x , scrambler 400x cause these three have almost the same price bracket as the category.🙏 It helps a lot for the viewer and the new buyers.
Test drive today Suspension good Breaks awesome Riding position good Clutch great Great shifts smooth and good Only problem Is mild vibrations That’s part of single cylinder engines Booked one immediately,
Very nicely articulated script. Very precisely presented with clarity. This is how the reviews should be. (The only exception is Motorinc., but this is at par)
As a proud owner of the 450 Himalayan, I can confidently say that all the amazing things he said about the bike were absolutely true. I am impressed with the fact that every problem he mentioned was accurate as well.
This new Himalayan looks fantastic. It has excellent performance and it definitely seems to be more relaible than the outgoing bike was at launch. With time this will only get fine tuned. I love the package in its entirety.❤
Motorinc reviews are good but man Rishad is in a different league. His review is in depth no nonsense and straightforward. Where as motorinc plays with words so much that you get more confused 😅
Thank you for this video. You covered a lot of points that a potential buyer would need to know. This bike seems like a great package but there is clearly some scope for further refinement and hopefully videos like yours will urge RE to make those changes. I don't know how much more this bike will cost by the time I am able to buy it but I will wait and ride the hell out of the bikes I already have first.
What is the weight limit on the RE 450 ?! I am always confused about the full load weight! Do they count the total weight of the bike + how much on the top or only the load weight without the bike?! Thanx ✌️😎
Would the tubeless rims be offered as a standard when they do come in under MIY mode or they would would like us to buy the bike as a whole with tubed rims and then buy tubeless rims as an accessory?
Very beautifully summarized and well thought of , but considering high revving nature of the bike , what about the heat management in city traffic. Any thoughts on that.
I own an Himalayan 450 and i just have to say that bike is soo good for Indian roads(mostly all of them are offroad because of potholes😅) the comfort level is just too good, showa’s suspension is just 🤌 The bike is good in every aspect with full marks. It just a minor problem of engine heating in slow traffic it feels a bit uncomfortable at times but i guess will get used to it the more i ride. I just want to say if you have a decent weight( good muscles ) and height around 5.8 or 5.9 and planning to buy an ADV just go for it without even thinking.
Y'all gotta start filming in 4K, you guys record in all these cool locations, all cool shots/ stunts, but c'mon it's 2024. I've been watching 720p-1080p since pulsar 150 from 9 years ago.
Believe me it won't sell in estimate numbers.. undoubtedly Its a great motorcycle but the fact is it is disguised in Himalayan badge with KTM-ish soul which is totally opposite from its predecessor. Its not an upgrade its a completely different mechine. People will say nice thing about it but won't buy it for them.. Nice video❤
Another brilliant review. Over the years I have filtered down to just 3 people whose professional two wheelers reviews I trust and you I appreciate all three equally well. And you Rishaad are one of those. I love the way you present the whole thing and talk about points a few of your fellow journos miss out on. Back to the bike, Well the Himalayan doesnt disappoint in a lot of ways. I just hope the longetivity and reliability parts are fixed on this one. I think the Roadster would be both less bulky both in terms of looks and weight, and that should find a lot more buyers who are skeptical about handling 196kgs of weight. One major gripe I have about the Himalayan is the tail lamp. I mean how hard could it have been for RE to make a slim unit. I am quite sure the indicators are the first to be damaged on trails and even in cities and driving without a brake light is honestly not recommended. I hope at least a few will come out with aftermarket solution
One thing which I was getting a bit agitated about is the amount of gear changing you needed to do in city driving. Switch to ECO mode and your tractability suddenly improves so much- now no more stalling sounds at 2k rpm even in the 3rd gear ! Must try guys !
Pretty sad we still have vibrations, I have a BS3 himalayan and cruise at 90kmph, 100 not good.....if yes, breaks not good😢....but seems like no a great replacement as of now for old one...
I’d like to point out that I’m always in riding pants and boots when I’m on a motorcycle. As some people have pointed out, you may well feel more heat if you ride in thin sneakers - or less protective footwear.
I absolutely love how this man explains stuff. No bs, to the point and he misses nothing.
No tubeless tyres at the moment
@@manojkumarKalagaraspoke rim tubeless will bump up the price by 20-25000 rs
@@nuclear9977 then it’s not an adventure bike, more like a highway tourer.
Yes, very professional , to the point. No unnecessary drama and shouting
there is a team which works on the content and also the linss, from cut to cut and retakes it is rehearsed, edited and lit up if required and shot.

I watch Autocar motorcycle reviews mainly because of Rishaad Mody's commentary! sets the reviews apart from the rest for me !!
Loved the way how you noticed small - small details and explaining that with a smile and sincerity! Kudos to Rishaad Mody!!
Articulate, brilliant with his choice of words, no nonsense and just keeping it simple and real with the reviews. Rishaad is just in league of his own. Good job once again Sir!
Mody's reviews remind me of the good old autocar reviews. So good and covering each and every detail. You can feel his passion for bikes
I really appreciate you giving figures like mileage, 0-100, 60-0 etc. Those are the things manufacturers don't include in the specs and as a viewer we need help from you and almost all reviewers are getting lazy to do that. The scrambler shot at 12:06 is so good ❤
Another very good review from Rishaad! This is really setting the bar for Auto reviews.👌

The Hunter needs this engine. And as somebody said, Mr Mody is an amazing presenter :)
engine, console and the suspensions
another bike is coming yaar with this engine a naked one
Atleast give hunter the old himalayan engine
its called Scram 450.
Hunter is being tested with the same sherpa engine. Soon they'll launch hunter. There have been some spy shots of hunter 450
Thanks for your review Rishaad, this video is what I was looking for as you answers all the questions I had on the Himalayan.
great review mate. really enjoyed the vid.

By the time you turn 18 there will be great options to pick.
Ain't no Monster 😁 Well maybe for a 14yr old!
Better bikes out there. One advise, anything but RE.
Bikes are the worst investment u can think of
Especially for an 18 yr old 😅
I am 21 and I would suggest that whatever you have saved up put that money towards index funds , mutual funds ,stocks, bonds etc and don't touch it for 10+ years trust me your future self will thank you for it

When you do turn 18, don't buy a monster bike or else you won't see your 19.
Great review! Very informative! Thanks!

One of the best bike reviews as always by Rishaad Mody. Kudos to you
very important point you mentioned that because of the good suspension setup, one need not worry about the potholes and keep up the speed

Suspension good

Nice one Rishaad!!! Great video and review on point...
Excellent review bro , kudos to you , felt like buying one. Comprehensive and superb review.
Rishaad has single handedly made me a two-wheeler journo fanboy at this publication. 👌🏻
Loved the way your review sir God bless u more power to you 💐🎉🙏
Rishaad gives honest and accurate reviews. I look forward to his next! Great work and thank you.
One daily thing you missed out is what it is like to put on the centre stand. Seen some testers struggle.
I just bought this little elephant yesterday and I'm loving it. Super comfortable even in the city with its large size.

Excellent follow-up video to the first review. Very well timed as well
Good review. 👍️ from Ktm 390 adventure rider from Nepal 🇳🇵
I liked the idea of making such videos. Autocar please make such videos for more bikes as it will give us the real insight of the bikes.
how accurate are the distance to empty and mileage measurements ?
Please make more videos in this format. This one was excellent. All aspects covered and very well explained.
❤loved your explanation..what else required to know about ..nothing. and you are phenomenol in gathering and explaining the experiences.
As a proud owner of the 450 Himalayan, I can confidently say that all the amazing things he said about the bike were absolutely true. I am impressed with the fact that every problem he mentioned was accurate as well.
Rishaad always on point. No flashy cinematography, loud tortuous background music, no tacky graphics. Appreciated it.
This new Himalayan looks fantastic. It has excellent performance and it definitely seems to be more relaible than the outgoing bike was at launch. With time this will only get fine tuned. I love the package in its entirety.❤
Love to see compare video of himalayan 450, BMW G310GS, Benelli TRK 502X, KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, Honda NX500.
I love your presentation, it’s amazing. Keep it up. 👌🏻
An Enfield with a reliable fuel gauge. How the times have changed! Jokes apart, what a superb machine by RE.
Thank you my friend from India, for introducing me to this motorcycle. Greetings from Europe

What a smooth review . loved it .
One of the best reviews ❤
The question of the century that needs to be answered is- Other than all these bikes, What is Rishaads daily driver?
Right now, enjoying this. Changes every few months
@@RishaadMody1 so like us, you don’t have your “one true love” bike which you you wanted since you were a kid?
Very good review thank you sir. You really cover the things I want to know about.
I feel the Scrambler from the same setup would make more sense both in the city and highways.
🔥🔥🔥🔥...Hay when we can see new huskies 401 review...???.......and what will you suggest....duke390 or new Himalayan ...???..🔥🔥🔥🔥

It is doing a steady 2500 units per month which is good for a ~3.50L on road costing motorcycle.
I'm a new Rider and my first bike is
himalayan 450. It's been 2 week and i complete 1000km and i didn't face any problem as a new Rider
thinking to get it my self as my first bike also
Was the fuel efficiency test done in Eco mode?
Hi Rishad, Can you do a comparison video of Himalayan450 vs Adventure390X
Hi can cruise control be added after market
Autocar agrees exactly to what strell said about vibration

What about vibrations?? There is a talk out there that vibrations are really high for the new himmy...need a detailed answer on that...
I think the scram based on Himalayan will be very good .
Nosediving is the major issue I found on it..been riding it recklessly in kochi with heavy traffic block.
