Sometimes. It depends on the cleaner that you're using. If it's too harsh It may strip some of the color. If you're re-dying then that shouldn't be a problem.
Suede is a fantastic leather but finicky how it is treated. I don't know about a bone but a rubber suede cleaner can do amazing things with unfortunate or inconsiderate treatment.
Suade is so rough, I wonder if en airbrush would have been a better choice for the new dye application. Also I wonder if stripping the dye with a solvent would have made it easier to apply. You do good work! Thanks for sharing with us 😊
While, of course, this is always top notch quality from Vetiver as I would expect and an excellent job... this bag is just SO CUTE! I actually really love it and I'm not a purse kind of person in the slightest.
Good job on the restoration. I hate suede,I am rough on clothes and shoes . After I have shoes with suede trim for 2 weeks they look terrible no matter how careful I am with them.

It’s because of the material, suede doesn’t age well. Leather lasts for a while though, it still looks fine on those parts of the bag.

When you clean a bag and the dye comes off on a rag should you be concerned or is that normal? Do I have to seal it?
