When Vollering puts on a climbing performance like today, it makes you really appreciate how good she is in one day races. She's on pretty equal footing with someone like ELB in the classics but on longer climbs there's no comparison.

I feel like the team should be checking for concussions, not handing them a bike when the rider can't even walk.
Absolutely. If someone has a crash like that, they shouldn't be allowed to reenter the race before some medical checks. This kind of behaviour wouldn't be allowed in any other sport. Concussions are no joke. Another hit after that one, and you've most likely gotten brain damage.

Kopecky is done until she recovery from early season effect, did you see Lotte last 2 race before she take her break? not very impressive!
@@mracer8 Kopecky had a stellar start of the season. If the early season effect is that she can afford to take time to recover while she is still comfortable number one in the PCS ranking, so be it. She is riding the Giro and Olympics (both track and road and ITT) and for sure, if on the same form as in the early season, she will smash it.

Yeah, like Fleche when Lotte got on the front to close the 20 seconds to the breakaway, and the gap went out to a minute over the space of a kilometre. Lidl Trek get on the front and the minute gap disappears in a km. Yet, the commentary team credited Lotte for doing great work for the team! SDW are doing Demi dirty every race. Every time a so-called team-mate sits in front of her, Demi ends up going backwards into the bunch. The only way she's able to stay near the front of the Peloton is if she sticks her nose into the wind, and does all the work herself. She was the strongest rider in Strade. She could have done the Ardennes triple again, if the team actually worked for her, rather than against her. I hope she goes on to win the Vuelta, especially after being done dirty by Movistar last year, in what was an absolute disgrace to the sport.

Niewiadoma is sick exactly because of the wet and cold Ardennes races, as is the rest of her team.
That's why they only had 5 riders starting the race. Can't expect a top performance from her without being in top form.

Lidl Trek is now saying that there was no staff on scene to assess Realini. But the car was right there! as were race officials. A racer will always want to race but this was really poor by the team and the race doctors (who could have driven up to her after the crash if they weren’t immediately on the scene.)
The day that SD (hopefully) realized that they will basically be a non factor from mid April in years to come. Stage hunters at best

To be honest, when it all came down to the steeps AVV was already not on her level last year. Vollering is in her own league.

Don't think you need to be well educated to know the correct phrase is: could not care less. It's only Americans who think the expression is could care less. Fuck knows why they think it too. It makes no sense when you say it that way.
This is true. People say "couldn't", then other people don't hear correctly, and those same people say "could care less" for the rest of their lives.
