In the anniversary version they added this song to the movie. It's sad that Disney+ doesn't have an extra scene. The song is my favorite in the whole movie.
Howard Ashmans unofficial swan song in my opinion even though he did write others songs after this one. This is a long lasting testament to his ultimate inner genius. Taken from us far too soon. Him and Alan made literal magic with their combined efforts in music.
Imagine if it actually made it into the film, that would've been sweet if that was the case. Plus, had Howard Ashman avoided AIDS, he'd still be alive today.
This would not be impossible to reimagine, I mean, some of the sequences in this ended up in the final movie before parts of it got used in the extended version of the movie, such as 3:22 - 4:07.
For the longest time, I always thought this song was part of the original movie. My family had the diamond edition, and I always wanted to watch the full movie, which had this song fully animated and incorporated into the movie. It wasn’t until I watched it for the first time on Disney+ that I realized it was a deleted scene.
We just had a fight with my sister because she had absolutely no memories of the song "Human Again" while I even remembered when it took part in the movie, how the scenes looked like, and I even remembered parts of the HUNGARIAN lyrics. We figured out that it was cut out in the disney+ version but it was there in the file our dad downloaded for us on his pc when we were children (about 15 years ago, so that file was broken badly at some scenes). Tbh, I get the reason why it's cut out, but it makes no sense to me because it showed how bad it was for the servants being turned into tools and furniture, and how hope filled their hearts when Belle came into the picture.
Too Bad this Song wasn't in the Original Theaterical and the Disney+ Version but at Least this Song was in the Special Edition Version of Beauty and the Beast (1991).
Only Ashman. Rice reworked some lyrics for the broadway version, which was later animated for a rerelease of the movie, but this is Ashman’s original. That’s even him doing most of the singing.
Opinion tolerated but I like both to be honest. Wouldn’t it be cool if Lumiere were to wear a gold rococo suit, Cogsworth in a white wig and Plumette in long blonde hair? m.th-cam.com/video/hMExSnqT3Vc/w-d-xo.html Just to show deleted scenes or songs are very interesting
Having this in the film really helps to tell us that Belle really did stay at that castle for days even months.
That's kind of the one nitpic I have with the movie because it's like telling us they fell in love with each other for a couple days

It may have been deleted from the original cut of the film, but it was in the Broadway musical and the Special Edition.
Howard Ashman was such a singer.

Also made in animation version Of: Human Again in 2001 special edition

The Beast looks like Sully.

I think it was ultimately better it was cut, but it definitely has that classic Menken/Ashman charm

when she pulls him and when he spins her ;_;
Maybe they should try and reanimates some of the other delete scenes for other movies
Honestly, this is much better than the original.
