Elizabeth I’ve heard that referenced many times before and I don’t personally believe it. It was a tick, and like most involuntary or subconscious ticks it followed a rhythm, but he didn’t do it to follow along with the band. Our minds are simply wired craving patterns and occasionally repetition. He being an addict I’m sure had many involuntary actions, and his jaw was one of them.
I think he said his mic was higher than kurt's "my mic is louder than yours" I think that's when kurt was testing his microphone in the beginning, it wasn't a tension between them, but it seems that the kurt was a little bit irritated

Not hard to realize that without Dave, Nirvana may have never made it. All three were important. I find it difficult to believe Kurt wanted to move on away from them.
