My Funny Valentine Kim Novak Valentijn Selectie
MY FUNNY VALENTINE
My funny valentine
Sweet comic valentine
You make me smile with my heart
Your looks are laughable
Unphotographable
Yet youre my favourite work of art
Is your figure less than greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?
But dont change a hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little valentine stay
Each day is valentines day
Is your figure less than greek
Is your mouth a little weak
When you open it to speak
Are you smart?
But dont you change one hair for me
Not if you care for me
Stay little valentine stay
Each day is valentines day
What an amazing song!
One of my fave musicals! I cant believe kims not singing. ❤❤❤
What a pity. The sad story of this beautiful woman.
One of my all time favourite films. Love this song. Frank's version is too
Beautiful
I watched Pal Joey for the first time today’. I bought the soundtrack album back in the early 1980s. The movie is top standard with the soundtrack album. That’s amazing in itself.
Awesome! I love Kim Novak.
Kim's singing was dubbed by Trudi Erwin.
My all time favorite lady
In love with this scene. She has such a haunting nature.
Aki Ami Masen Super charming!
Aki Ami Masen No, it isn’t stupid. It’s really sweet! She’s very beautiful
@Aki Ami Masen Beauty makes us all "stupid"! It's the nature of the beast!
Instablaster.
Kim Novak is simply beautiful and appears to feel this song. Even though they said she didn't really sing it.
That's true. She was dubbed.
I named my Daughter after her, saw the movie when I was nine fell in love with the score
@@theiceman6941 ... Kim Novak was dubbed by Trudy Erwin, who was a singer (and actress) in her own rights. :)
What a wonderful surprise to see Kim Novak singing this so beautiful, sweet love song ! 😊😍😍❤️
It's Trudy Erwin singing.
beautiful, what a classic song and movie
She's always had this sort of sadness in her even when playing in a comedy like Bell, Book an Candle !
I added this to my Trudy Erwin file who I just discovered. She was an amazing Singer and dubbed many Stars like Lucille Ball and even sang a song for the historic Movie, "The Great Dictator". TH-cam has a few of her recordings.
Stunning
Just fantastic 👒👒👒👒👒👒👒

I have many favorite songs over the years, and this one - My Funny Valentine - despite the passage of time, still remains high on my list. The song is picturized on Kim, but her voice was dubbed. The song was also used in Gentlemen prefer brunettes while the spotlight fell on Jeanne Crain. In recent times, Micheal Buble has elevated the song's status.
Who is singing?
Perfect dubbing match!!!
Rita Hayworth/ Jo ann Greer version it's waaaaaaaaaay better than this.... Kim Novak is a beauty thou.
Adoro questa scena!!
Pal Joey❤ and what about Kim
Beautiful! Sad what cosmetic surgery has done to her face now.
Thanks..., It is there for you and all...,
Thanks..., It is there for you and all...,cindy pattana
Well She is 83 years old. So, She can't be the eternal 24 years old lady. More than 50 years ago...
Is that Kim Novak singing? Or someeone else's voice?
How did she breathe, such a small waist ?
from the Pal Joey movie
good movie
Sinatra and Hayworth are perfectly cast but I would have preferred Debbie Reynolds in the Novak role and she would have voiced this song nicely too.
🌹
you go mouse in the spot light
I'm not convinced that is Kim Novak's voice...but nice...regardless.
Thanks..., It is there for you and all...,
+My Funny Valentine Selection Selectie You should credit Trudi Erwin either in the title or the notes.
+My Funny Valentine Selection Selectie why the fuck are you responding that way?
😊 call Kimmy
Where's the pictures??
She was one of the great beauties du jour during the 1950's, but unlike Marilyn, her persona was uninteresting. Still her beauty in itself got her over in a big way. I remember how exquisitely beautiful she was in "Picnic" as she and William Holden did that sexually charged dance to the movie's theme. Here she if stiff and emotionless, and her beauty is almost "wrong" becuase she is so lifeless (the real singer Ms. Erwin has a lovely voice) Still, I feel for her today, with that botched surgery and all. The surgeon should be hanged!!
One of those stupid 1950's movies that I had to endure as a teenager. Novak is certainly beautiful though...
Pal Joey, as a movie musical, was made too late. Columbia bought it, from the Broadway success it was in 1940, with Gene Kelly as a younger Joey, but neglected to sign Gene as well. MGM would not loan him to do the movie, following his success with Rita in Cover Girl. too bad. it would have been much better with Gene, Rita, and Ann Sothern in the Mrs. Simpson role. it is just an empty star vehicle for a fading Rita, too old for the part Frank, and a decorative, but dubbed, Kim. a lot of movie musical lovers of the time who know the Broadway show, and the wonderful score, just hate it. i merely dislike it.
