@@DrLockdown Absolutely! While I haven't been too interested in Plus' repaints, I am happy to know that people who are interested can actually buy the figures compared to FunPub and the collector's club scarcity and expenses.
DrLockdown I think there’s still hope for another 10 pack, hopefully we can expect that as a reveal soon. I’m gonna miss the micromasters alot, the new legends class figures better be worth it.
Dunno if you knew about it, but you know that grey blaster Soundwave came with? It works overwhelmingly well as a psuedo flight stand for the shie- cassete-cons.
Just wanna say, you are the reason im obsessed with micromasters now aswell as why i am getting reprolabels for blackjack and the blue car, because i have seen this video multiple times they seem off without them (this is my first reprolabel order)
Was not familiar with micromasters (bit too young), but I always called the Battle Patrol the “RE Twins”, because their weapon mode looks like the multi-pod rocket launcher that seems to appear a lot in the first 3 Resident Evil games (remakes included).
There has STILL been no sign of Ratbat near my realm - so count yourself lucky :). You're not the only one who got shafted by Hasbro's weird and incomprehensible 'distribution' system. Excellent review though! I didn't think Siege Soundwave was so bad - sure the 'alt' mode is a joke, but you can always turn him into a (guffaw) Lamp-post, and the robot mode is pretty good.
Both this and the BattleMasters from siege were kind of forgotten by the community and I love that they made targetmaster for previously released figures i am sad that they didn't make more of them.
I'm in Australia & my Highjump literally disintegrated as I took it out of the package. I was very shocked and didn't buy another Transformer for about 9 months after that. I still have Powertrain around here somewhere.
I have Lazerbeak and Ravage in my collection I like Lazerbeak it’s a good looking figure (to me at least) and I like the head on it. And Ravage can go jump in a smelting pit it stays in data track mode in Soundwave chest until I want Lazerbeak in it. I also have siege Soundwave and I can agree his vehicle mode is horrible I don’t understand why it was the way it was and don’t get me started on the backpack with how the engine or are they rocket jets I don’t know what they are, but they keep his shoulder cannon from sitting properly on his shoulder so one day while I was fiddling with him one of the main problems I have with my copy is that on if the engine things pops off really easily so what I did was I popped both of them off along with their hinges and it clean up the back now it’s just a panel and the alt mode thanks to me taking off those engines he now just transformers into a telephone poll which is stellar cycles better then his official mode. So now with Earthrise coming out with a new Soundwave I’ll have the telephone poll for Cybertron and the cassette player for earth. Look from my name to my image it was obvious I’m going to have more then one Soundwave in my collection.
Power punch and direct hit are great molds. I love the repaints they did. The red one with the missile is amazing (but only because I had that set as a kid) I do wish the yellow repaint came with the bucket loader instead of this same cannon. But sadly besides the recolors that can do the gimmick of swapping out parts the shuffle micromaster let it down because they use different ports. not sure why they did this. Its sad were never finish off the other micromaster teams since most people didn't want them. I love the base mode and micromaster gimmick. You you have an extra shelf you can make a kick ass mini city if you have most or all of the repaints.
I still can't get over the fact that for some reason in the EU we got both Ironhides but Ratchet remains a US exclusive either officially or de facto. I manageed to get the second cassette set at a normal price thanks to a eBay coupon, personally I keep Ratbat perched on the shoulder of any of the main decepticons, after all in the comics he is often much more a sort of advisor than the classic cassette minion.
The micromaster planes are the only ones that combine to form a sword, and they have the best combined weapon mode because the rest of the micromaster combined weapon modes just turn into an ugly gun. (The missle truck combiner was probably the least absurd because at least it didn’t look like it’s shapes are all over the place)
