    Fuji really needs to rework the mobile app, trying to seduce a younger generation of photographers needs the app to be perfectly streamlined and give you ALL the control that is in camera

    • @Terry2020
      @Terry2020 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Amir Yahav agree 100% !
      Most camera companies fail at making a great mobile app. I think there are many reasons behind.
      One is that they are not software companies. Second is that there are too many android and ios versions, compatability is a problem

    • @yahavamir
      @yahavamir 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Terry not having basic functions like ignoring the on-carma dials or not having bulb exposure isn't a compatibility problem, it's a rushed out app, and not updating it for years is acting as if no one uses the remote app but we both know that is not the case

    big applaud to fujifilm! this is a great camera for vlogger on a budget !
    i like the pricing and features set.
    few things make me wonder,
    one is the spec. says XT100 supports auto expoaure bracketing with up to 7 frames, +/- 3ev. is that true ? That would be powerful than XT20 .
    second is how is the bitrate of the video for 1080p 60fps.
    third is why the microphone is 2.5mm 🙄

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The AE bracketing on the X-T100 is up to 9 frames +/- 3 EV.
      We do not have the bitrate details available.
      The 2.5 port is a combination microphone and remote release, and you choose which function it will be through a menu choice.

    This is all great, but I am missing is some of the cons of the camera. I recently stumbled upon a chance to purchase this model for a cheap price (350$) and I can see how great this model is, but I cannot find anyone who'll tell me what are some of the downsides of this model (can't be all pros with no cons), so I more info to decide whether it's good for me or not. Thanx for the video though. It's a great review.

    Hey there, I got this camera 2-3 years ago and I havent been able to use it. Firstly, it has some visible horizontal dark lines on the picture, when i shoot in a LED lit space, and now they use LEDs everywhere.. secondly, the focus has issues. the autofocus keeps moving and doesnt focus where I want to. Thirdly, I cant get the desired depth of field I could with nikon d7000. 4, I purchased it to go back to street photography, but when the subject is moving, the image stretches unnaturally at the edges of the frame. 5, The feel of it, looks very much robotic, compared to the dslr it reminds more of a security camera, with cold artificial light. I am very sorry, i love the vintage look and the fact that it is light weight, but I havent found a way to use it, and it is very sad. 6, Also I checked the firmware, but they are available only for windows or mac, and I'm on linux. Are there any ways to fix these issues? I considered selling it, although after so many years and without having used it much, its just sad. 7, I checked for the shutter count, and its also not available in this model. thank you for any info. I was really excited when I bought it, I was hoping to enjoy it as much, as I was enjoying my first camera, who was a simple compact camera, but no. it was a big disappointment and hopping there are fixes for these issues, or I just lost a lot of money, as it was indeed quite expensive. I thought I was making an investment, but it failed. I hope I can turn this around somehow even after 3 years of not having used it due to all the above mentioned issues. Thank you for any help.

    8:13 why??

  • @PeterKoperdan
    @PeterKoperdan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It is clear that more 'advanced' focus modes don't work very well on this camera. But what about the simple AF-S center focus point performance? I can't find explicit assessment of it anywhere :-(
    The reason I'm asking is that the AF-S center focus point is enough for many types of shooters. Is it reasonably fast/accurate enough? What about low light?

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Peter. The X-T100 does feature phase detect AF through the centre area of the image, and provides sufficient AF performance for most entry and mid-range photographers.
      However, if you are looking for high-speed and low-light AF performance, you might be better served by stepping up to the X-T30 or even the X-T3.

    • @PeterKoperdan
      @PeterKoperdan 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fujiguys Thank you for the answer. So is the low light AF bad? Can it at least lock focus reliably?

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peter. There are no published specifications for AF in the X-T100. Performance will depend on the specific lighting situation. We suggest you visit your local camera store and try the X-T100 out.

      If you have not already done so, turn on the Movie Digital Image Stabilizer. Go to Menu (5th Screen) and you'll find that as the 3rd item. Turning that on will engage a slight crop, but will offer steadier looking movies. Otherwise, find a more stable placement of the camera. Perhaps a small tripod or a gimbal.

Also, I am using the free version of Capture One that came with the camera ( Capture One Fuji Express 12.1.3 64 Bit Build 12.1.3.2 caedfe1). Does this have a provision of focus stacking RAW images ?

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for asking. The X-T100 does not record RAW image(s) when using Multi-Focus mode.
      The X-T30 is a step-up model that allows RAW recording when using Focus Bracketing.
      In reviewing the features of C1 Express Fujifilm, that version does not support layers, so you would need to investigate C1 Pro Fujifilm or another software solution to stack the resulting files. BTW, there is a free update available for C1 Express Fujifilm (Version 12) to C1 20 Express Fujifilm (Version 13).

    Hey Fuji Guys,
    I just gof the x-t100 and really enjoy shooting with it. I have just one question, there is a little plastic corner beneath the hinge on the left side of the camera. This seems to be a little loose, is this normal? It's not like it's gonna fall off it just feels more like a click on combination that is not as tightly bound together as the rest of the camera.

    Question: I am a newbie when it comes to photography, that is why i bought the XT-100. I just wonder why the pictures that i took are small in size, mostly 600 to 700kbs, while my phone easily gets 3 to 4mb per picture. So given the small size of jpeg, does it really affect the image quality? How can i adjust it or do i need to? Thanks.

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It could be a couple of things....
      If you are transferring the images to your phone, by default the images are re-sized to be 3 MegaPixel resolution. This can be changed, but the resulting size will fill up your phone fairly quickly.
      If you are transferring to a computer and they are that size, you may want to increase the resolution on your camera. Press the "Q" button, and select the image size (by default it's the 2nd row down, 2nd from the left). Change that setting to one that shows "L" (normally 3:2). That should increase the resolution (and file size) of your resulting images.

      There are a few differences between those two models; most notably the LCD screen on the X-T100 is touch-sensitive and it rotates around to the front, allowing selfies, as well the X-T100 has a microphone input.
      There are plenty of comparison websites where you can select these two cameras for side-by-side comparisons on specifications, but many people prefer FUJIFILM cameras due mostly to the user experience as well as the output colours.

      Hi Biswajait. The X-T100 does not feature any built-in memory. You will need to have an SD card to record stills or videos.
      The largest SD card supported by this model is 256GB. However, you should use a Class 10 card when recording HD, or UHS-3 for 4K.
      Individual movies can not exceed 30 minutes in length. Although movie recording will continue without interruption when the file size reaches 4 GB, subsequent footage will be recorded to a separate file which must be viewed separately.

    • @fujiguys
      @fujiguys  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are two options when transferring images to a smartphone. By default the camera down-sizes and compresses the file to a 3MP image. This allows for a fast image transfer and won't fill up your phone too fast. Or, you can change a setting in the camera so that it transfers the full-resolution 24-MP file. How much the image gets compressed when you upload the resulting image to a social media site will depend on the algorithms each particular site uses; which is not usually disclosed.
