Looks have no correlation to being a decent person, however we can't pretend that people (especially women) are judged so much for their looks. It shouldn't be like that, but it is.
Yeah and part of that is purely biological I think, humans are at first naturally drawn to things that are symmetrical etc.. Not just in other people but flowers, furniture etc. And yes the "importance" is over-emphasised. Indeed looking pretty has nothing to do with who you are on the inside. I noticed too, long ago I had a boyfriend who wasn't a model at all.. He had a big scar on his stomach, a big crooked nose.. But the longer I was with him the more beautiful his "off" features became to my eyes. I guess I started looking with my heart instead of my eyes. And yeah I have literally experienced myself too how we're judged (and we judge others) having had for years a bad skin-condition in my face that would come and go. Strangers look at and treat you differently for sure depending on what you look like. The best thing indeed is to make peace with and embrace which ever suit we're in for the moment and rock it from the inside :)
You Say that but I have a lot of attractive eX model friends who struggled all the time with finding partners and then if you just watch one episode of love don’t judge you see women with huge face disfigurements in happy relationships. If looks rly equalled love Hollywood would be happy
Corinne is a super sensitive soul and empathetic. This is her best asset, rather than her beauty. I know this because of how she reacts when she first meets Simon and hears his story and when she meets the director of the beauty pageant whose mum passed away. The grandma would have been an especially terrible influence for sensitive Corinne because she is so sensitive and wouldn't have had any boundaries when she was younger. I think she would also have had a lot of racist comments growing up. Again, I think she is just a hypersensitive person who internalised all this instead of having strong boundaries.

I can relate to Corrine so much. I have a black father and white mother, my dad wasn't around that much when i was a kid, and i was adopted by a white family. When i was a kid i didn't experience many issues, but when i hit secondary school I had my hair relaxed and started to feel somewhat embarrassed i was black, even though on the inside i was actually very proud of my skin colour. I think what's missing on this programme is no one is helping her work on herself inside, because she won't stop or change just by telling her. It was so thoughtful and such a beautiful act him surprising her with the Jamaica trip. I can relate to the feelings of lost and acceptance and unworthy. Im half Tongan and American and my Dad walked out and he got deported back to Tonga. I've always wanted to go back to Tonga and see my culture that I know little about. I think when a parent abandons a family and your half a culture. You're not white enough to be white you're not half of the other half to be that. It's really confusing. But this story was beautiful and i hope Corrine can see how beautiful she truly is inside and out.
When I was a child my mom spent hours doing makeup each day. It became a problem when we would take a family vacation and be stuck in the hotel until 10-11am because it takes her hours to get ready.

What is inside was once outside. I have the same insecurities as her, because I was bullied to the extreme by racists about my skin colour (and my hair). This happened in all stages of school, in college and workplaces. I honestly don't think I'll ever be happy with my skin due to all the bullying, mockery and the way that society accepts this vile racism. My parents whittled my self-esteem down to near nothingness, which made my traumatic experiences with other people worse than necessary. Before any of this, I was always a hypersensitive child. I felt everything deeply, both joy and sadness. I think Corinne is possibly a bit like this. You don't 'grow out' of it.
