Do not call them uncivilized. They are not encroaching you’re territory, you lost your civility by trespassing their dwelling. Conservation of ancient tribes means preserving their ancient birth place and maintaining peace by not using them as tourists attraction and making money out of their history. They know how to live their lives.

You can be civilized and engage in WAR, that's not going to cancel your civilized status. It's more like having infrastructure systems, being able to highly modify your environment, highly organize society with systems like water, sewage, transportation etc.

It is a disgrace to the Indian government in general and public officials in particular for treating these peace loving people with such disdain purely because of their ethnicity or colour. Talking of civilization and primitive people, what is it to be civilized? It is not the fancy clothes we wear or the architecture of our living quarters and advanced technologies. It is all about human relationships. Do you have love for yourself? If you do, share it with humanity through respect, compassion and co-operation. The Jarawa people have a wealth of knowledge and cultural attributes which have sustained them for centuries that can benefit our so called modern society. Stop treating these people like animals because of your ill preconceived notions of them. Such prejudices have always been stumbling block to a peaceful coexistence.
DO NOT TAKE THEIR LAND from them and shove them into some remote and restricted corner of the land. Land can only be leased to outsiders or entities.
Get the people actively involved in policy making decisions pertaining to their community. They have been isolated because of geographical barriers and now if the government wants to have active dealings with the Jarawa people, the priorities should be in order. Education, Health, Security, Energy, Roads, and Communication systems.
The natural resources of the Jarawa people can be harnessed through co-operative efforts of the people (local government),Govt. at large, and the private sector
These people need all the help they can muster. It can be done but is humanity ready to step up to the plate?

I'm glad for all humans happy in the knowledge that none of us are valued less or more than the other in the eyes of God, in that we also share the same expectancies ...Death
We cannot come back and mock each other. We deficate in the same way, feel pain and live with expectations, some of which are denied, I wake thankfully each day, eat, sleep, laugh, cry and am ecstatic. I remember the film Roots, the scene where a newborn baby was raised in his slave father's hands to the sky and as he held him high he said as he cried out to an unseen God ...',Behold No Man Greater than I'. This is so true.... when I'm down and feeling the blues this scene pops up in my head and I battle on ...This is the true spirit of the oppressed to tingle with spirit and live in expectation to soldier on regardless 😉 We must each and everyone of us do this to survive...Gloom dies when light shines ✨️ 😀 😊

Define "civilized", this always keeps coming up whenever an African culture thrives through time without the dependence of industrial or chemical manufactures. The authorities and public viewing, visiting or facilitating these safaris bear full responsibilities for invoking the need for rewards the Jarawa people feel; the exploitation of their land and environment runs so deep there’s only enough time to interview mostly the cops and other officials to navigate the Indian’s protection laws. Mainland India is so vast and structured to accommodate its population, the Andaman issue must only be for the people living there and that is all what the interest is about. India was the destination Europeans thought they were going to, now India has to correct their own behavior to demonstrate how "civilized" it is by preventing engaging in the similar fate native Americans experienced.

@@user-tn7kl3sq2r Har! Maybe so. But ALL cultures have their "skeletons"; the Arabs are still slavers; some of the indigenous cultures here in Canada used to be slavers, etc. Even prior to English invasion, pale complexion was valued in India. The main difference is that the Caucasians had guns and big ships which gave them a huge advantage. Just like the Germans and genocide: many cultures past and present have practised it; it`s just that the Germans were so damned efficient at it. So, yes, colonialism and racism MUST stop- - - - but don`t blame the Europeans as the cause of all evil. Good and evil exist in ALL peoples.

If it's true that they want modernity, the tourists gave them that desire. It is hard to know what they authentically want without them being exposed to what modern life is really like. Many people are dying of stress from poverty, inequality and disease in "modern" cities. What part of modern life would they be enjoying in India's classist, fair hue loving society? I mean no disrespect in saying so, but stop me when I've lied. These people would be poor and in slums, now having to worry about money, buying fruits they used to pick for free, dowry etc. on top of being uneducated, not speaking the language and feeling inferior. For those reasons, they should remain isolated until or if ever there's a sincere plan to make them better, not worse off.

You are correct, they are Y DNA D
“The most well-known unique event polymorphism (UEP) that defines DE is the Y-chromosome Alu Polymorphism (YAP) YAP. The mutation was caused when a strand of DNA, known as Alu, inserted a copy of itself into the Y chromosome. Hence all Y chromosomes belonging to DE, D, E and their subclades are YAP-positive (YAP+). All Y chromosomes that belong to other haplogroups and subclades are YAP-negative (YAP-).”
      Discovery
The YAP insertion was discovered by scientists led by Michael Hammer of the University of Arizona.[11] Between 1997 and 1998 Hammer published three articles relating to the origins of haplogroup DE.[12][13][14] These articles state that YAP insertion occurred in Asia. As recently as 2007, some studies such as Chandrasekar et al. 2007, cite the publications by Hammer when arguing for an Asian origin of the YAP insertion.[6]

This analysis was based on the fact that older African lineages, such as haplogroups A and B, were YAP negative whereas the younger lineage, haplogroup E was YAP positive. Haplogroup D, which is YAP positive, was clearly an Asian lineage, being found only in East Asia with high frequencies in Japan and Tibet. Because the mutations that define haplogroup E were observed to be in the ancestral state in haplogroup D, and haplogroup D at 55kya, was considerably older than haplogroup E at 31kya, Hammer concluded that haplogroup E was a subclade of haplogroup D.[14]
