Shortly after this all littered the depths there would have been a multitude of sea life feasting on the human remains. When I visualize that I cannot help but think of all their loved ones never having a body to bury knowing they are never to be recovered intact. My father would never speak of the carnage of war. I hope to dive here one day and pay my respects not only to those who lost their lives here but to those that loved them.

Japanese removed remains from all accessible wrecks and held solemn funeral. Some remains are still there, mostly below 200 feet. All dives are treated with deepest respect. Nothing may be taken from wrecks, especially since so much is live explosives.

@bobjohnson2089 there were wrecks we couldn't dive due to leaking oil and the possibility of explosion. Some sunk on even keel, some settled on their sides, and still others totally flipped over. What a very solemn and sacred place to visit. Thoughts and prayers for all those who died and their families. May we never forget. 🙏

If we held up to this ideal we wouldnt be able to do anything anywhere since people have died literally everywhere throughout time ROFL

seemed somewhat disrespectful to war dead. The ship is a war grave and yet the diver takes a cup and then draws a face on the wreck. maybe it is just I'm an old bloke, but to me, it seemed wrong to do these things.
