The station theatre used to be the goods shed for the Hayling Billy line. As kids, we explored the derelict station, now a car park..don't remember any ghosts there! Hayling's heyday was in the 1960's. In summer, you couldn't drive down Creek road for the masses of holidaymakers enjoyinng the arcades and bingo, candyfloss on a stick , and fish and chips. It's a sad shadow of what it was. The night club was originally the Beach Club, later Blazes, then Millers. Quite a lot of punch-ups! We had a house at Sandy Point from 1959 to 2010, 51 yyears. Much has changed, not much for the better.
Ferry Boat doesn't appear to have changed much, they really need to sort out the potholes though, would sit and watch the sun go down whilst eating fish and chips, we've loads of the pillar boxes where I am and even some buildings which are listed in the Domesday Book. I can't say we ever went on the train, that's a shame about the man from the ticket box, didn't know that. i used to run the ferry boat inn carpark with a guy called will ex 3 para. The guy that used to own the cafe yu just went past had a massive stroke sat on the wall by the servery window that was the guy in the carparks dad . I spent many years on the island it hasnt changed that much beach towns never do. Super boring from oct to march everything shut. There used to be a pub up near the hayling billy called the rose in june all the boat skippers used to drink there mengham was full of police in the 90s. in the last vid of yurs on the beach where yu stopped with that lil path is where i took my daughters first pic held up with the sun between our heads at that exact spot at sunset i still have the pic .
Yes. As you can see, it was very sunny and with my Campervan being a bit wider, why worry about the small lane with sharp bends ? If I had my Car, it would be a different story x

I used to live on HI ,Church Rd , West Town, Palmerston Rd. In around 2000 I promoted Gordon Giltrap at the Hayling Theatre…a great night!

I did enjoy this because it looks like I will be moving to Hayling Island. One thing, - I didn’t see any cyclists, which surprised me. 🙏👍

those house boats living on one great awesome but in summer that green covered mud out there stinks so bad in summer u can barely breath
