A bit disappointed as loved on Hayling from 71-77, you the house where I need the near the end of Southwood Rd passed Creek Rd and the small estate that's opposite Beachlands funfair that once held the mansion built by the Sandeman Port family before becoming several convents, I was at St.Patrick's Open Air School till it became St.Francis deepest is Salle before becoming a choice school
The station theatre used to be the goods shed for the Hayling Billy line. As kids, we explored the derelict station, now a car park..don't remember any ghosts there! Hayling's heyday was in the 1960's. In summer, you couldn't drive down Creek road for the masses of holidaymakers enjoyinng the arcades and bingo, candyfloss on a stick , and fish and chips. It's a sad shadow of what it was. The night club was originally the Beach Club, later Blazes, then Millers. Quite a lot of punch-ups! We had a house at Sandy Point from 1959 to 2010, 51 yyears. Much has changed, not much for the better.
The big white house is called The Pool House which has the main house and cottage, and my late friend lived there in the 1970' and early 80's Danny La Rue
Maybe some of the people buried have grown into this tree through the roots. Some trees have been known to have hair from people being buried under them ❤
I do understand what you mean but I was doing a live stream on TikTok which means my mobile had to be in portrait. Actually, doing a live on TH-cam and TikTok. I have to have my mobile in portrait 🤔. I will have to try and see if I can change something xx
@@spookywalksportsmouth6738 I'll have to come down there again over the summer, not been for at least 40 years to stay there if not longer, think I got down for a quick look around in the early 00's but that's the last time
The footage of Stretton Grandison was heart warming to watch. The cottage you filmed by the church is where my father lived with his brother and parents as a child until he went into the army. One winter my fathers brother was playing on the ice on a near by lake, he fell through the ice and sadly passed away.
Name and location of Church please!
