A tip for getting the suction cups to fit in the slots that worked for me was to use the screwdriver horizontally for leverage. Just be careful not to poke yourself.

How I did it, is by twisting them with one and pushing them with the other hand.

I need a more in depth tutorial on this seeming method! I just don’t get how you secure it at the ends.

Usually I secure that last loop by crocheting along the edge with the loop (crocheting through that loop once I come to it). You can also secure it by knitting along the same edge or by threading a piece of yarn that is the same color as your project through the loop and weaving in those ends. Hope that helps!
