I have a friend who has a little girl with Trisomy 18 and she just celebrated her third birthday. She is a sweetheart and I know your little boy will be as well. We may not always know why these things happen but we know God never makes mistakes and this little one is gonna be such a special blessing to you and your family. Saying prayers for you all daily!❤
It is a special burden to know one is planning for a special needs child. I totally understand your “quiet joy.” I’ve lived that myself… blessings. I’m praying for you. Children need love, attention, conversation…. 💕💕
You are on spot. We just buy stuff to buy stuff. I know you will provide what this little fella needs as he needs it. Good job momma! He will have plenty of love and plenty hands to hold him. Praying for safe delivery and prayers for beautiful healthy baby as possible.
I just found you yesterday and I Absolutely LOVE You!!! I'm a 59 yr old disabled mama of 5. We did unmedicated births, some hospital some @ home. In fact #4 & #5 are twins baby a was born at home baby b was born at hospital! That's a story! Blessings for the birth and baby boys care.
My sister wore her babies, nursed them and they slept in her bed. It does not make kids dependent and even if it does? So what? Why society expects kids to be independent so early baffles me

I just came across your channel and wanted to let you know we are praying for your and your family. I hope your labor and delivery will go smoothly and that God will shower your son with his healing and loving light. I know God sometimes sends little angels down to earth - their souls are so pure they cannot stay with us long but they are always a blessing. Lots of love heading your way I cannot wait to hear about this amazing little boy.
When I was a teenager, I dreamed of getting married and having 12 children! Life happened and I ended up with 3 children. But my last 2 children I had in my late 30’s. You are definitely blessed, Ma’am with 14 children! “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” May our Lord Jesus bless and keep you and your precious family. May God have His hand on you during the delivery of your precious baby! 🍁🧡🍁
I agree!! You see all these people with nursery reveals and piles and piles of stuff and it’s just not necessary. They just need to be kept clean warm comfortable and fed and all of that can be provided by you and the family! I’m sure as they get older they manage to spend enough money, they don’t need it as newborns x
Waiting to get the swing or bed etc is smart. Our Serena couldn’t go in a regular baby swing because of her airway issues. She would stop breathing at certain angles because of bronchiomalacia and tracheomalasia etc. she’s improved now but when she was tiny a regular swing was of no use. ❤

I come from a family 6 kids parents nana we all had a bedroom each we had our own space so we can have time alone if we need best things out the we had no arguments and we played with neighbours We had a pool and a pool table so we had plenty of family time having your own space room makes u more responsibility for your room
When my boys were born, I made 5 dozen cloth diapers and a dozen receiving blankets. There was a great sewing pattern for a sac I made several of those., so easy to change judy open the bottom drawstring. They didn't wear clothes until much later.
Very smart decision!! Sending lots of love and prayers for baby, you parents and siblings and especially the medical teams entrusted with babies future care.
It’s true it’s true after having so many kids you can recycle. I saved all the good clothes every time I had and I have all boys but every time I had another baby, I would just just buy the basics really the baby shower gave me so much by the time I had my third one you know you get to be a pro on just recycling and getting what you get from the baby shower and then that’s it just by a lot of time….yeah
I agree babies don't need as much as the stores want us to believe we need. Now they have these monitor's that you strap to your babies foot when I had my babies 15 - 20 years ago I was the monitor baby was always next to me and my room was the nursery I had a 2 1/2 year old, 1 year old and newborn. Newborn in a bassinet, 1 year old in a pack and play crib and my oldest was in the bed with me and my husband usually slept on the couch because of all the crying 😂. Clothes were hand me downs, cloth diapers, blankets, and a swing for the baby, carseat and stroller combo, double stroller because I had a 1 and 2 year old and a high chair that was my baby gear outside of baby wrap carrier and a diaper bag but i used all the things for all the babies. Saved tons of money. Can't wait for little man to arrive and to know that your both doing well. Take care and stay safe!
I know we are far apart but if you need something let and your community know. We will try to help you. Please know I’m praying for you guys and I don’t care the time of day or night if you need prayers please let me know. God bless you
I like the way you think! STUFF is so overrated. The younger of a mom that i was, the more stuff i thought i needed. I learned quickly that stuff made me overwhelmed, and my house cluttered. I would imagine your baby won't ever be laid down with all his sisters fighting over him! So he won't need a swing or even a bed! 😅 ❤
My grandson was in the nicu and he was given an octopus. I never knew there was a purpose for it though. ❤️ God will be with you during this unknown part of your life ❤️
Include some lip balm, lip gloss, or Vaseline because hospital air can be terribly drying. Maybe also some body cream. Ut definitely something for the lips.
You’re right. Babies don’t need stuff. One thing I used was an electric heating pad. I warmed up where the baby slept with the heating pad and then removed the heating pad before I laid my babies down. I never left the heating pad on because that would be too hot. But it was warm before the baby slept. I checked to make sure it wasn’t too warm every time.
Your two arms (and the rest of the families arms) sone nappies sone blankets and love will keep him going . People buy so much stuff that’s never used. He’s going to be a much loved boy .

The NICU provided several homemade blankets for our twins. 15 years later we still have them. The March of Dimes and other places were amazing during thier stay.
Thinking and praying for you and this little baby boy💙💙💙 It must be hard not knowing how your son will be. He will be certainly be well loved by your family and your TH-cam family! I have never heard of cloth pads but I am 68, so too late for me😂😂😂
@@mommabear2many So true! You may want to bring a notebook and pen with you to the hospital. There will be a lot of information you will receive once this baby boy is born and different doctors and nurses in the NICU. It can be helpful to keep track of their names.
Something I wish I had was a baby companion bed . There’s types that go next to the bed and open toward the bed, types that go on the bed that you can actually carry from room to room but they take up bed space, and types that are called loungers that help to keep their little heads in place and prevent roll overs. URMY has a lounger on Amazon. My 1st two I had sleep in a separate room. After that I had a bassinet next to me which was far easier. At that point I had 3 under 2-1/2 so they all woke up at night. My 2nd actually slept in a suitcase (open of course) when we moved to Germany as we lived in a hotel until we could move into housing. I swaddled, but I probably wouldn’t do that again since it doesn’t give baby opportunity to move and stretch or adjust if the baby has cramps. - in my opinion. I had my grandson in a bassinet next to me. My daughter had a C-Section so he stayed in my room until she recovered. He was a preemie so he needed to be watched closely because he would stop breathing. Even after your baby is out of NICU and dismissed he may be required to be hooked up to monitors so a bassinet right next to the bed may work best depending on the situation. My husband didn’t help to take care of the babies, but some dads want to be more involved. But some dads have a hard time sleeping with baby waking up often and then other options may be necessary. The hospital does provide large pads for mommas that may be charged whether you use them or not so you may want to ask if you don’t use them if they still charge you for them. Maybe for the 1st few heavier days you may want to consider disposable pads.
I always use cloth it actually helps keep the flow down. Yes I have a nappie bag. I honestly can’t think forward enough to think of him coming home so I’ll take it one day at a time.
@@mommabear2many Praying for you and baby boy. God created him, and He has a plan for him - to be used for his glory. He is precious in his sight. You’re a strong woman, but even strong women have emotions. “Casting all your cares upon him, for he cares for you.”
With the flannel stash coming down, consider a couple of the NICU premmie kimonos, tops, etc... (they are called different things). Google for free patterns. Around here there is an emphasis on swaddling and also baby hats. Dont forget baby mitts (make them a good size bigger than needed and line with something(s) warm and/ or wind proof for use as outdoor or cooler temperature mitts); especially if there are likely to be tubes and/ or devices. Consider some draw string bags to coral ultimate diapers in a diaper bag or hold collections of things in a diaper bag. And also double headed binky clips (like old garters, a clip on both ends) to help secure hats, mitts, booties, blankies, and of course pacifiers to clothing; this is a winter baby and winter babies have a lot of pairs of things to loose one at a time. Hi Just found your channel a short while ago am now addicted to watching. Please tell me about your children the oldest boys and girls ages. Praying and asking for the best outcome for you and Baby. Do you have a name yet? 🙏🙏❤️
Soap for the baby do you use drift? Do you make your own baby soap for the clothing? We did drift all the time. I actually have a new grandbaby and I bought a big old too big old bottles of drift for her 👶🏼
I just remembered with my second baby we brought with us the wrong size of clothing she was premi baby lol all the new born clothes didn't fit her. My mom had to go out to buy her all premi clothes while I was in hospital. Oops. I was very grateful for her for doing that.
@mommabear2many it just so funny that we think they are newborn outfits then they get born the outfits don't fit them. I also remember not sleeping well that week cause we were all excited to meet the little one. I had 2 c sections with both my babies.
It is kind of hard to figure out what's happening after your little one comes. Especially with being unwell. I do hope that everything will come out fine and not so scary. Praying for a good birth for you and the baby.
Are you planning on having issues with the delivery? I pray nothing is wrong. Planning to take food to the hospital, I've never heard of that, probably a good idea. That can't charge you 150.00 a meal that way. 😂
I only have two children. I am shocked at the baby products that new and experienced parents are made to feel they "need". The one that shocked me the most, that so many of the dreaded "Influencers" push is this Snoo, sleeping "system". The Snoo, provides constant motion, sounds, lights etc. What happens when the child is without all that "stuff"? They never learn to self sooth and fall asleep naturally. Houses that are kept "quiet", because "baby is sleeping" is insane; babies need to not be kept isolated, in a quiet space. My children learned to nap with household noise, right in the middle of things, they adjusted to it, learned to sleep through it. Thank you for letting me "rant". Babies need clothing, blankets, something to sleep in, food and LOVE. It is made SO complicated to sell expensive, useless "stuff".
So true, i tried to tell my daughter the baby is coming into your life and needs to learn to fall asleep surrounded with general life noises. Of course, what did i know, it was beyond painful to be in a house where you were expected to whisper and you couldn't use the microwave when the baby was sleeping!
Prayers for this little one to arrive safely and for skilled providers to nurture him and your family. Not sure if the hospital will allow you to use your own cloth pads. They definitely won’t wash them for you. I don’t believe anyway. It’s for infection control reasons. Biohazard and infection control policies etc. if you want to bring the cloth pads back home you will need to bag them up and wash them at home. This is just my experience from working in a hospital birthing center for many years but I could be wrong. Just wanted to prepare you for them to say no.
Yes they have no issues with cloth pads I have no issue taking care of my own laundry properly. Some people are allergic to the chemicals in commercial pads.
Ok so I made a list of names. Most of them, if not all has biblical meanings. Aaron, Andrew, Daniel, Gabriel, Jesse, Theodore, Lewis, Liam(I like this one), Declan, Dominic, Luca(kinda cool), Jeremiah, Levi, Malachi ( I like)😮, Matthew, Nathaniel, Kane, and Ethan. That filled my page so that’s all my guessing for now. lol. 😂. Can’t wait for the precious little boy. 👦
Hi. Momma Bear. Just popping into say hi and hope you are well. I may not be able to have time to see you and baby. That makes me sad. I continue to pray for you, the family and that precious little boy. Do you have a name yet for him? I’ll pop in a quick guess with his name. I’ll look for a strong name…I do like Levi, but we will see what I can guess. 😊.

@@lauramclaine504I agree! What an absolutely wonderful thing for you to do for your daughter-in-law ( she knows she’s loved)
That was sweet of you.
Hi
Just found your channel a short while ago am now addicted to watching. Please tell me about your children the oldest boys and girls ages. Praying and asking for the best outcome for you and Baby. Do you have a name yet? 🙏🙏❤️
Agree that babies do not need 90 percent of the things people buy. Also agree that being alone in a bedroom is boring and not needed.
I wonder if you have delivered??? Thinking and praying for you💙💙
Not yet no
Soap for the baby do you use drift? Do you make your own baby soap for the clothing? We did drift all the time. I actually have a new grandbaby and I bought a big old too big old bottles of drift for her 👶🏼
Same laundry soap as our homemade one.
A sweater and socks for yourself. Hospitals tend to be so cold
How do you make your cloth pads
Don't forget socks for you.❤❤❤❤❤
Yes you must know me . I always get cold feet!
I just remembered with my second baby we brought with us the wrong size of clothing she was premi baby lol all the new born clothes didn't fit her. My mom had to go out to buy her all premi clothes while I was in hospital. Oops. I was very grateful for her for doing that.
I’ve had 2 small babies like this.
@mommabear2many it just so funny that we think they are newborn outfits then they get born the outfits don't fit them. I also remember not sleeping well that week cause we were all excited to meet the little one. I had 2 c sections with both my babies.
Don't forget a sack for your used pads, and dirty clothes I pray for you and your baby
It is kind of hard to figure out what's happening after your little one comes. Especially with being unwell. I do hope that everything will come out fine and not so scary. Praying for a good birth for you and the baby.
Thank you
🦋
Are you planning on having issues with the delivery? I pray nothing is wrong. Planning to take food to the hospital, I've never heard of that, probably a good idea. That can't charge you 150.00 a meal that way. 😂
Do you have 2 washers and 2 dryers? A friend years ago had 8 kids and she had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers.
Nope just one of each
I only have two children.
I agree so commercialized!
Do you have a firm date yet? Can’t wait to meet him.
Nope good names though.
@@mommabear2many , lol 😝
❤🙏
What’s the other boys name in the house?
Hi. 😊.
Socks with the grippers I used when my tiny last babe was in nicu. I'm a barefoot girl this was my compromise
Not Levi but that’s a good name.
@@mommabear2many , so you have a name picked out already?
Why not use hospital pads. Free in Canada Lynn
Because of all the chemicals in them I am allergic
Hello...new subscriber, I am enjoying your chsnnel. Where do you get the thing you wear on your head and how do you get them to stay in place?
Walmart they just stay it’s slightly elastic
I didnt see diapers - what you've bought and what you are going to make, seems more than adequate xx
Not sure if the baby will come home or how big he will be when he does. So waiting
@@mommabear2many of course, upholding your family in prayer xx
@@mommabear2many hugs and prayers!!
What is your due date?
Oh and I was wondering why you cover your head? Is it a religious reason or just for convenience?
hand me downs and waiting is the game,, you are correct a baby only needs its mam and a cover, the rest will fall into place xx
Yes thank you!😊
I wish I would have brought my own underwear and pads the ones the hospital provided were horrible!
When are you due? I'd like to send you something ☺️💕.
When I am due and when I will deliver will be very different.
@@mommabear2many I see!! I have watched a few of your videos, but wasn't sure if you were close to due date and/or delivery yet! 🙂
