Hi, thanks for the video. Just a suggestion that worked for as i didn't have glue on hand was instead of glueing the switch down i pulled the spring out of the switch and now cruise control always stays on.
After removing the screws in my 2008 CRV (mine actually did come out all the way), I cannot get the unit to budge at all, therefore cant get to the point where I disconnect it to glue the malfunctioning button down.....any suggestions? Thanks very much for making the video in the first place !!!
Hi Dave, So I have the screws out. Did it take a lot of force to remove the module after the screws were out. It seems wedged in there. I can get it moving but have not been able to successfully remove it.
Dave, did you unplug your battery or your airbag module when you did this? It doesn't appear to me that it would be necessary if you aren't disconnecting the wires.
yes you must remove the airbag module as well as disconecting the battery, thats why his dash is disassembled. you absolutely do not want the airbag to deploy while you're working on the steering wheel
I have honda accord 2004. When I press cruise control switch, THE CRUISE CONTROL switch comes on, but it doesn't work when i drive ( mean it doesn't lock the speed when i press, even though it says its on) Should i replace the switch or there is some other problem. If anyone has any idea, please share it with me. thank you.
There may be some safety default that's being engaged to keep the cruise control from working. I would google reasons that would disengage the cruise. Don't hold me to this but sometimes something simple like low power steering fluid can disengage the cruise control. Hope you figure it out!
My issue is not with the Cruise Main light. Rather, while driving, the Cruise Control light goes out and the car begins to decelerate. The main light stays on. Pressing Set does nothing, I have to turn off the Cruise Main for a few minutes, and then I can turn it on again and set the speed. It usually happens while climbing long hills, but not always. I guess once I get that switch off the steering column I'll figure it. Great video, thanks for doing it!

Fantastic. I thought this kind of fix would work! I just hadn't wanted to try it until I saw it done. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks for the info, same problem im dealing with on a 04 accord. I was going to glue switch from front but your way looks better

Do you know how to get rid or fix the cruis main?. My light doesnt seem to turn off
Do you happen to know the screw size? I think mine dropped in wheel. Thanks!
I'm sorry my friend I don't
Hi AceDave, I've come across your vid when I had the same problem on my accord. Have you got it fix yet?
Dave, did you unplug your battery or your airbag module when you did this? It doesn't appear to me that it would be necessary if you aren't disconnecting the wires.
No, I didn't do either one. Wasn't necessary. But it wouldn't hurt to unplug the battery as an extra precaution.
When you do this do you have to disconnect the battery?Because of the airbag?

Good idea, thanks!
