I saw my favorite band (Starfucker) in Shreveport in July. God, I can't convey how awesome this band is. Everything else I say after this is repetitious. They even know the Goonies! I love these guys, I love their music, I wish and hope they will be a band for as long as they have musical bones in their body. I saw them with the Shy Boys who is very much their style too. If you get a chance to see them, I cannot recommend them enough! DO IT! STARFUCKER!

Star Effer is not the band's name. That was a deliberate mispronunciation. The Band's name is pronounced Star Fucker..from Germanic origins it means to "strike a star". Let's not be "Effical".

The music is really good but the vox are such a weird challenge to the music as if they're almost an afterthought. I heard the drummer sing on one of their performances and would love to hear him more. Interesting music overall.
I’m the singer, Josh, and I admittedly have a terrible voice and wonky pitch. I just try to do the best I can what I have haha. Keil, the drummer, is a much better singer with great pitch. He has a project called Fake Drugs which is dope. Also, not trying to make an excuse but weirdly every single time we did one of these kexp tapings I at least had a cold, if not a full blown sickness. Also they’re always taped early as fuck so it’s like wake-and-sing on 3hrs of shitty road sleep in van or whatever. But yeah nonetheless, I can’t sing for shit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
these kinds of recording usually go down early in the AM when bands aren't used to playing let alone recording live early in the morning. might sound a lil light here but with full live speakers this is a full on track, youtube can't do any live performance justice
Also because it's beautiful. That's just my opinion but what really pulls me in when looking for music is an unusual name that catches my attention. That's the first taste you get of how creative they are.
