It's true that Eurythmics are not Radiohead or Pink Floyd, but they made a HIT for posterity catchy as hell (confession: I've loved Annie and her voice for almost 40 years); Marylin Manson meanwhile is just a pose. If he had a common appearance for sure his musical career wouldn't has last more than 5 years. This artist is too short of ideas, repeating constantly, the genius here is the one behind the production desk. Period.

He didn't get the response he wanted so he took a step back and rethought how he ccx was doing this and decided to add music to his art ideas. There was an E! True Holiwood story on his beginnings. Manson has always been one of my favorite artists. He's very much a shock-rock artist, but it's important not to get too hung up on the visuals. Many of Manson's songs tackle topics like society deteriorating, capitalism, and racism. Particularly songs from Antichrist Superstar.
Gave the original lyrics such a different vibe. Some of them want to use you. Some of them want to abuse you. It was just so perfect for him to do this song.

To understand Marilyn Manson simply look at the policy he built himself on "The more parents hate me; the more teenagers love me." He adopted the negative stigmas of society as visual demonstration of freedom of expression which resonated very well with the masses of teens that struggled with self expression whether it be from social, domestic or medical issues.

My first concert was Danzig, and Korn and Marilyn Manson opened for them. Manson did some nasty things on stage, he put a water bottle and a microphone in his.................... you figure it out.
People really criticized Marilyn Manson for his choices but I will say that his creative was appreciated by me. He was controversial because he was so not commercial. They wanted to censor him and keep his music away from the kids. A few people even tried to blame him and his imagery for influencing kids to turn to their dark side and encourage them to take drastic actions in schools with guns. His covers are cool because they are so different. Great job!

As the song's lyrics are about two sides - those who use/abuse and those who are used/abused, I'd say the whole clip he was trying to impersonate those two opposing sides in one to show some criticism... so as a man he wore a wedding dress, he painted himself black and put on a cowboy suit to ride a pig, he stood there surrounded by doves (signs of purity) while being literally covered in crap, coming out of a chimney, like Santa Claus while looking like a total freak or standing completely still and somehow restricted while the time was ticking on all those watches on his head....the whole imaginary was to support the lyrics and how messed up it is that dreams of some are built on the suffering of others... at least that's my take on it 😄
Been a huge fan of Marilyn for a lot of years, seen him perform live and was amazed. Sadly recent events make me very sad for the women involved a furious that Marilyn may be a horrible abuser.

As the song's lyrics are about two sides - those who use/abuse and those who are used/abused, I'd say the whole clip he was trying to impersonate those two opposing sides in one to show some criticism... so as a man he wore a wedding dress, he painted himself black and put on a cowboy suit to ride a pig, he stood there surrounded by doves (signs of purity) while being literally covered in crap, coming out of a chimney, like Santa Claus while looking like a total freak or standing completely still and somehow restricted while the time was ticking on all those watches on his head....the whole imaginary was to support the lyrics and how messed up it is that dreams of some are built on the suffering of others... at least that's my take on it 😄
Been a huge fan of Marilyn for a lot of years, seen him perform live and was amazed. Sadly recent events make me very sad for the women involved a furious that Marilyn may be a horrible abuser.
