That's a lot of pressure and you can see her making fun of that in the video. And I think it's criminal what's happening to her now.

The melody of the song that you mention, the screechy, high pitched strings are taken from an early 80's Bollywood song called 'Tere Mere Beech Mein" (direct translation: "in between me and you") which is why it sounds so indian. Such an out of the box bit of inspiration by the producers of the song.
