The old club world seat looks more comfortable and private than the new one. The newer suite is claustrophobic and cheap and the door doesn’t provide much of any privacy unlike the old club world
poisoxned The old seat was a nightmare, I hate facing directing at strangers on takeoff and landing and aisle seats are the worst because they’re so exposed.
Yeah. Now they’re finally acting on it after getting rid of that penny pincher, Alex Cruz. He nearly destroyed BA in the past 5 years or so, treating it like a low budget airline.
Admittedly, BA's hard product is not by any means a leader amongst airlines (with the exception of the A350), but their service is unparalleled. I always leave a BA flight feeling happy. I feel like BA FAs go over and beyond to make sure you're comfortable.
I flew the same route a few weeks before you. Same seat and the same CC at the door. This brought back the good memories. I'll be doing it again in Jan, but 7A this time.
I flew BA for the first time years ago on the 767, I was horrified! But last October I flew on the 777 from ANTIGUA to London in first class (I was so lucky that day to get that upgrade, which cost me $590) I was amazed! The service was excellent and the seat was great. Then I flew business class on the 747 from PHL to LHR back in January, as much as I was happy to be in business class, I was disappointed. The seat was terrible but I must admit the service and crew were awesome! A week after that I flew on the A350 from LHR to YYZ, simply AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to fly back to London in a few months
Ah good ol’ Mexico City T1 It never fails to surprise me how unorganized and messy it is.Great trip report. I haven’t seen a BA 787 irl before. Only the 747. I look forward to seeing a trip report from your travels to Paris.👍
Yes! American Airlines, Delta, United, and all low-cost airlines including Southwest should start flying the jumbo jets including the 787 dreamliner due to the coronavirus outbreak that began last month in Wuhan, China.
Awesome videos the quality, the captions not to mention the footage you get for people who arent traveling but feeling like we at the location too when watching. Thank you keep them coming
B.A. don’t offer the best Business class by any means but considering the price I always pay they offer the best value for money. The service and food is never less than great and I always manage at least 6/7 hours sleep on a 11 hour journey which for me is the most important aspect.
Enjoyed watching! I had the same seat as you flying from Toronto, Canada to London Heathrow in 2017....I will be flying on the same aircraft back to Canada next year ☺👍
Great review it’s cool to see more videos departing from Mexico! And I’m amazed you went to the Confessions Tour, I’ll be flying Cathay Pacific from HKG to JFK on J to watch Madonna’s new tour in September
I did enjoy this video as I will be flying BA for the first time in Nov 2021, in seat 7K. Do you think the seat will be better padded by then? I just love watching people’s experiences. Thank you so much.
A decent report, but with a few common pitfalls most travel vloggers also make, principally shots from the window, the long taxi/roll/takeoff and the night scenes of Mexico City ... or Dubai ... or New York. I look at these videos to compare cabin configurations, service, food, and amenities. I know what a takeoff looks like and I'm not interested in what's out the window, especially at night. You made an excellent point about the seat choice and THAT is the kind of info I am looking for. I've flown BA Club World from SFO to LHR four times in the last three years and I always try to get that seat or the corresponding one in the second Club World cabin. (I prefer the smaller of the two cabins.) I am flying BA First next year to London and on to Prague and am eager to see how much better it is than Club World. I got a first class ticket for less than Club World, which was awesome. Your work is a cut above much that I have seen lately. In one 9-minute vid, it took to the 6-minute mark to get into the nitty gritty, preceded by an endless walk through the airport and interminable taxi/roll/takeoff (about twice as long as yours). Some judicious editing could deliver the necessary info in 16 minutes instead of nearly 22.
The 787 is supposed to be designed to have better cabin air so on your arrival you are not as dehydrated and feeling fresher than on other types of aircraft. Did you notice ?
@@Nottsboy24. Thanks for asking. It was tight on the short hops on a A320 and A321 but it worked out and lucky the flights were just about 2 hours each.
The transition for the texts on the screen is moving way too fast. Sometimes I have to play it back so I can see what you're saying, and the time I'm spending doing that would be late for me to view what you're showing. *I really think you should take this into consideration and slow down the transition for the text* .
Great review. MEX for sure needs some re-planning that looked horrible. I've flown BA a lot but only in Europe. I'm a Oneworld flyer and I refuse to use my AA miles on BA from LAX-LHR with that product since they charge a huge "fuel surcharge" when booking an award ticket. Cant justify it, but once that new Club World seat comes to LAX I'm gonna book it. Even with the lame surcharge LOL. The food looked pretty good. I also liked that they have a walk up bar like American does. I really like when airlines, especially ones like AA & BA who have antitrust immunity, try and make their offerings similar. Once BA completely updates it business class cabin to match what AA offers it will be even better.
Thanks for sharing. I wanted to know about that particular seat for my flight in a couple weeks. How did you find the noise from the galley in that seat? Was it too loud?
What a substandard business class for 2022: Asian airlines serving Australia such as Philippine and Singapore routinely have 1-2-1 in J on aircraft such as A333s. And why would anyone want to travel backwards in an aircraft? I dislike it on trains, and that extends to other modes. But a good review showing us the features that matter.
It’s a weird though flying backwards but when it comes to it, you can’t even tell you’re flying backwards, I thought I would struggle sleeping, it was very smooth and no problem
I do not like that airport.I love Mexico City and I love La Mansion!I ate at my first La Mansion in the Monterey Airport. I got to pick the size of the Ribeye they cooked me.The Manager brought out this giant slab of prine beef and had me gesture how thick a cut I wanted! Obviously there are literally 1000s of incredible restaurants in central Mexico, but you can't beat La Mansion for airport food or for a chain. It blows away most American chain steakhouses.I know people who work for some major American steakhouse chains. Even the high end ones have pre made side dishes, don't always use fresh ingredients,etc... Anyway,I love your channel.I always look forward to your videos.
Would love to fly BA. My only experience flying between the U.S. and London was on British Caledonian, which I believe has been gone for years. It was a horrible experience. Looking forward to flying BA the next time I go to London.
No hate. But kinda felt he bought a first class ticket since he (thought he should of had like first class crew and first class amenities kit and seat) said there is no bedding done by crew amenity kit wasn’t that good when it basically had all the stuff for long haul flight and also the fat in meat can be even in fist class and on most planes it only like 1 to 3 light in business class. Remember No hate
Aaron Collier I think many who comment on Business cabins lately are wishing they were in First.. if every airline upgraded Business class to that then we’d no longer have a First
Not knowing where you were flying from into Mexico City,I wouldn't put up with an 8hr layover,I'd be bored and legs hurting from all the walking around. What is the peso doing vs the USD? Was the restaurant meal cheap by US standards? Never having flown BA much less Business Class(sorry,Club World)I can't compare/contrast with previous flights on other airlines.11 hrs is a long time to be in the air, arriving at 3pm London time, did you have any jet lag? Lots of beverages you consumed--water,Fizzberry,Ginger Ale,decaf coffee--your bladder got a workout! No alcohol on these long overwater flights?
How can they get away with having a 2-3-2 layout in business class. The 787 is a new aircraft, it should have a 1-2-1 config in business class, or in worst case 2-2-2. When you pay premium price for premium tickets, then this is not good enough in 2019

Henning Kaasa yes the -10 will arrive with the new Club Suite and the rest will be reconfigured. The 777s also will be reconfigured with some loosing First in favour of the Club Suite on routes where F in low demand. The only a/c to keep the ying/yang will be the 747s for obvious reasons
‘We were offered water or champagne served in glassware” Did you actually think it would be in plastic? I know B.A. is no longer the prestige airline they once were but they haven’t gone down that far - lol

Not gonna lie, you had me in the first half LOL

Juniper’s A, ARE YOU SURE?
BA had many negative comments for their service and finally decided to make improvements. That's very nice.Great flight report

That 747 landing at the end
That was a butter landing

I flew with the dream liner from Canada to Amsterdam and yes. You do feel the difference. These dream liner airplanes are fucking great honestly
I've flown on that, and I can honestly say, I never experienced that ? But then I was in economy, which was bloody awful.
Nice review. I will be flying in October on BA for the first time in club world. Thanks

I hope the A350 seats come to the 787, in a super private 1-1-1 configuration probably.

Mex was getting a state of the art new airport until the new president decided to cancel it half way through construction. Doh :(
Omg... I INSTANTLY noticed that they were playing madonna confessions 😂... One of my fave albums!
Great trip report. I just subscribed 👍✈️
Cabin interior looks great .

If you're in a club window seat, are you blocked in if the person behind you is laying flat? It's hard to tell.
Great video, thanks for posting.
Flew that route a few weeks ago. I was super annoyed at how BA force blocks the windows opacity until final approach.
nicely done - thanks
What about the wines? Champagne? It's a bit of a letdown when there's no pairing of any kind. Ginger ale??? It reminds me of when I am sick.

Terminal 1 is not a complete mess, trust me, I've been to another quite modern terminals (outside Mexico) and they turned out to be a nightmare...
Lmao I’ll give you that, Tijuana for example used to be a nightmare, but now it’s in my opinion one of the best airport terminals in Mexico.
@@ITripReport absolutely and wait for the new Mexico City Int Airport :D

When you pay premium price for premium tickets, then this is not good enough in 2019
emirates business class on the new b777 are 2-3-2 there is a report posted late last year. so BA are the same as emirates
James Nicholls Emirates 777-300er has a terrible layout too, at least they changed it to a 2-2-2 layout in their long-range 777-200lr.
Qatar one of their biggest competitor uses 1-2-1 on their new aircrafts, and on their old 777 they are changing into 1-2-1 layout.
The new Club Suite is 1-2-1 with privacy doors so problems solved.. coming to the 787 soon

I would have taken the F upgrade at 500 USD given the flight duration
Yup... and that’s what my mom ended up doing.
I know the Mexico city airport as the Palm of my hand because I Live the re and I Travelocity a lot
Aeromexico 787 business isn't cutting edge at 6 across, but it sure beats BA's 8 across.
Cool Breeze *7 across on the 787
@@memyself4840 depends on which 787. They have some configured with their old 2-2-2, but others with the new 1-2-1 (super diamond if I remember right)
tgscott00 I was correcting their comment that BA have 8 across on the 787, they don’t they have 7 across.
Could tell heads or tails about the seats and the configuration, Very poor camera work
Nothing about British Airways comes anywhere close to being top quality, except possibly the Flight Attendants whom are usually very friendly!
try booze on the plane next time. great video
Does it feel weird to sit facing the rear of the plane?
Not at all. It's actually pretty cool during takeoff and then once up in the air you don't perceive any difference
Most people do not speed read
Boeing has a better sky interior than airbus
I’m surprise British airways hasn’t had problems with those RR engines an I wonder how difficult would it be to change it to GE
4:11 those seats without a window 🤔🙁👎
rr trent 1000 growl!
BA is trying to stuff way to many business seats into there cabin.
I would love to hear your commentary rather than reading it
787 club world is a fkng shit. I can’t understand double cabin. I miss the first 747-400 747-800
BA sucks. From service to seat layout.
your reviews are good, but I don't like BA, boring AF
The worst business class ever
shockingly poor business class.
