Great video - well organized, concise and clear. Not just giving us a strategy to copy and paste, but explaining the mechanics and nodes/what synergizes and doesn't to give us the tools to incorporate the mechanic as we see fit. One of the best videos I have seen of this kind, hope you continue to grow and see success
@@Thyworm I add harby to one of my trees and just passively do them as I do other content. I use scarabs when I have a bunch of them, but I rarely focus on them. I always need annulment orbs for upgrades
These videos should be incorpurated into the actual games knowlagbase. Poe is terrible at explaning its mechanics. I am so grateful for people like you that make such clear videos. It help my decisionmaking a lot.
Thank you so much for the explanation! So detailed yet so clearly. Just perfect for newbies like me. Im try your strat. Also, what's recommended DPS for farming harbingers? Like an ideal minimum to make it killable. Thanks!
Very low, I mean, harbinger is not hard at all. If you can complete the map normally, you will be able to do Harvest. And thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
100% agree to the conclusion with scarabs. I have really hard league start with choosing wrong build, lack of scarabs and the result with lack drops. But to harbinger one question: How important is the map tier? It was the strategy that works at low tier maps too - together with the old unnerfed essences. Or is high tier mapping significant better?
I haven't tested this on lower tiers, but as quant and rarity doesn't impact the loot, it likely also works on lower tiers. You can do an easy check yourself, as you roughly know what loot to expect. If you can run higher tiers though, I would, because you also get a lot of other good loot. And altars are still very good. Wouldn't pass up on those.
T17 is I think still the way to go. I'm running a small test right now. But getting scarabs has been a bit harder this league, I feel, compared to before.
Is there a way you can describe singular focus? Just for wanting to farm cards and certain maps in ssf? Thank you and love all the help you give to us SSFers
Not sure I understand your question, but singular focus allows you to only get the favored maps you want. So you favor maps, and by using singular focus, only those maps can drop. The rest of the maps are transformed into basic currency.
@Thyworm Sorry if I worded that weird but that's exactly the explanation I needed haha. I wasn't sure completely how it worked. There's a few div cards I want so I'll just favorite those maps. Thanks sir I appreciate you!
Yes it should work great for that. And then once you encounter the Nameless Seer in those maps, you can scry the div cards from that map to another one you like running.
@@dremlok666 it is impossible to predict what scarabs you will get, so that is not an option also. Like if you want to farm only harbingers, you are at the mercy of rng
It’s not useless without scarab. Considering how important fractures are and how hard they are to get this league if you don’t have imbue scarab, getting tons of chaos to sustain a farm like legion on map device while also working towards another frac orb before using scarabs saved up again to finish is efficient still. This isn’t even mentioning how important anuls are for making god crafts.
That took a lot of farming and was one of the reasons the video took so long. At some point, I ran out... I blocked all mechanics except breach and specced into scarabs and then it is mostly fine, but it does take a while

Thanks so much 😊
I've been specking into Harbingers every league I played with new atlas, and I never figured out I cannot damage the harbinger itself :D
Ye, he just keeps his health unless more enemies appear and they die. It's also why it can take a while
You can hold shift to use multiple of the same currency instead of right clicking every time
Yes, but I don't want to accidentally roll over a headhunter or mageblood
@@Thyworm wow wouldn't want to watch you crafting flasks
Haha, in most other instances I hold shift. But with Unique belts, it is rather common not to hold shift
In SSF i run harby solely for annulment, ancient, and fracturing orbs. And it's only a few points in tree so it's a passive strat for me.
I think they’re trying to kill SSF. They make it worse league after league. Little by little.
Are they do? I feel SSF is actually getting better, for the most part
@@Thyworm I add harby to one of my trees and just passively do them as I do other content. I use scarabs when I have a bunch of them, but I rarely focus on them. I always need annulment orbs for upgrades

Playing SSF for the first time right now. Have any tips or strategies for farming lots of scarabs?
Sadly T17 back to basics with juiced up maps is the best way although its very hard
@@eldoctoroso Back to basics was removed this league.

I've been sending Verisium only to Ribben Fell for a steady trickle of scarabs. It's not a crazy amount, but it helps.
Yes, it is decent, I've been doing the same.

Hi, I was trying to replicate your method. But seems somehow my drop was never got ancient orb. Do you know what might be the issues?
You may be hiding the ancient orb splinters in your loot filter
Without scarabs , it is basicaly useless in ssf. I wish they would give us more ways to target farm different scarabs, not the very rare ones ofc
Only way to target farm scarab is through Jun safehouses

Aren't specific heist members giving specific scarabs? That used to be the case at least.
I'm also now farming scarabs using t17 maps and that works quite well. With some caveats. That is likely the next video.
I think the mirror drops is a sign to migrate to trade. I know with even a single mirror, let alone 2 and some shards I would.
Nah, I won't enjoy trade. I like SSF infinitely more
Sadly I cannot subscribe twice or I so would. But I did press the like button with gusto!
Bro how did you get so many scarabs to run 50 maps?
That took a lot of farming and was one of the reasons the video took so long. At some point, I ran out...

3 mirror shard in 100 maps? What the heck is going on lol !
I have no clue. I've never dropped even a mirror shard before, and now in 2 weeks 2 full mirrors and 3 mirror shards. Pretty crazy stuff.
@@Thyworm maybe you should play the lottery with this lucky streak 😅
