I have been doing a lot of ritual in SSF. Couple things I have found (like 90% sure): 1. I believe it is the case that the map boss does not summon until you first kill him in a ritual. So if the altar is in the boss arena do that one first and then he spawns in all 4 of the Rituals. Second filled vessels can lead to insane amounts of favor as it adds those monsters to the base and also has the bonuses. Can get pretty rippy sometimes though. Third, it seemed to me that if you run beyond then you get credit for the beyond monsters that spawn during the ritual so a ritual/beyond combo can be pretty fun. And then lastly when you have the reliquary scarab that has unique mobs drop unique items and then combine that with rogue exile and the gemling ones along with the increased favor for uniques you can get some silly maps that drop uniques on kills, uniques after then tons of favor. I have mostly done it on easier yellow maps, T16 could be crazy juiced like this. Again I am pretty sure the information is correct but could be mis perception on my part.
1 is correct for sure. Just the 4th ritual a boss won't give favor anymore. So killing boss in second ritual is also fine. Blood filled vessels I didn't play around with enough, but next time I make a video on this topic I'll put that in too. It does cost you a scarab though, which these days is a big opportunity cost. I think beyond works indeed. Just not sure they count towards providing favor. Maybe it is only the monsters, which is still loot at the end of the ritual
I'd like to see you try to use the 4 rituals on a map paired with expeditions, necropolis with a map boss accompanying the high density mob and other AllFlames (like drops exalted/chaos/glass/600% rarity/pack size/accompanied by rogues, etc), mixed with multiple red beasts, and possessed rogue exhiles, and mixed with beyond. Combine that with whatever scarabs, stones, etc. on a map that's rolled with increased pack size as well (and hopefully rarity/quantity). The map would preferably be linear to ensure mobs are easily baitable. The idea would be to avoid killing anything, discover the location of the expedition and set the explosives quickly but avoiding like the mods you can't handle, find the beasts, rituals, and the many map bosses on the field. Then, find the closest ritual to the expedition, blow the charges, bait them to the ritual along with any other mobs/beasts/bosses/etc, complete the ritual, bait more stuff to the next one, trigger ritual (respawning all those killed on the prior ritual), complete ritual, repeat for the last 2 rituals. It should quadruple the expedition, map bosses, beasts, etc. It would be rippy AF, but would make for a sweet video and possibly crazy loot. 🤪 😅😂 The altar rewards isn't really the goal, whereas the replication of monsters is. I don't know if drops are disabled on recurring mobs, but if they aren't it would be nutso. If it does work, it would be like running 3-4 maps in one.
I mean, if you have a surplus of vaal orbs, you can corrupt rare (or perhaps any) jewel and it has a chance to turn into a unique jewel. Other than that, I don't think there are ways to target farm them outside of div cards
I love SSF, my mate and I play it every league now for however long it's been since we made the switch away from tradeling. However... I HATE RITUAL I HATE RITUAL I HATE RITUAL
@@Thyworm Oh yeah there's plenty of viable strategies you can do in SSF it's crazy how friendler and friendler the game gets every league Necropolis is probably going to be peak for SSF because of how easy it is (was, soon) to craft mirror tier rares
Good video guide on ritual, but ritual is garbage in SSF (and probably trade). Most of what it's good for (currency) is much better to get through expedition and heist. Coincidentally, you can also get fractured/synthesis bases from these mechanics, much more consistently than ritual. Can you get something amazing from ritual? Yes, maybe, eventually. In SSF is it likely going to be valuable to you if it does happen? Very unlikely. Run ritual if you like ritual. Don't run it, especially in SSF, if you're trying to get something you need (except maybe a ritual base).
I disagree, granted there are better ways but for only 5 atlas points in a key area of the atlas you can have it as an extra mechanic that is solid for loot.
Well as a Expedition hater, especially because how rippy it is early gearing, and Heist avoider because all the set up and speed character you want to run contracts with... Ritual came in handy. Bubble gum currency plus a lot of splinters that I hardly had to run breach for invitations, lab fragments, and lucky good corrupted blood jewel- but at end of day not about efficiency but about enjoyment. So would definitely say there are options but especially in SSF where fun is king, no need to do unfun things when you can do fun things for the same rewards.
I think SSF isn't about running the content that is the most efficient. Sure, you can get much of the loot you get over here in other mechanics as well, but the combination of all of the different loot, plus a lot of linked items, plus that occasional jackpot, makes it worth running in SSF. I think it is also a lot less tedious than Heist or Expedition, personally
love that you actually explain your progression through the strategy. ty
Thanks! 🙏
I love ssf and i love people that make content for ssf. So sub and like ❤
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!
Wow, that makes ritual so much better; thanks! Awesome protips btw...
You're welcome Jonathan. How is the levelling going?
@@ThywormJust finished my first t16 but already level 87 because I did a lot of heist early-on... 😅
Did SSF for the first time, glad to see your content as there is very little for this little niche of the game.
Mattlighty is one of the og ssf players he's been on his journey for 4 or 5 years 2019 if I remember check him out perhaps

You can't bait or lure monsters into a ritual. It doesn't work, they won't respawn.

Nice vid! Forgot vessels though - follow-up vid?
Ye maybe. I hardly ever use them, now that we have so many good scarabs
So, kill all mobs first including bosses before starting rituals on the map? Or okay to clear rituals as you come across them?
I always kill boss first so that pops up in rituals as well.
Kill map bosses first would be the min max strategy for sure.
@@Thyworm but bosses are already almost worthless on the second altar with 80% less tribute, no?
They would be -80 on the third altar. First altar is full value, second altar -40, etc
Hey, just curious if it’s feasible to farm for bloodnotch and immutable force in ssf?
Those don't have div cards right? I found a few last league as random drops, but farming for them? I think they are too rare

@@Thyworm as like an endgame thing to do however, is there a particular activity you recommend to get unique jewels?

Expedition is still slow to setup. This is click and go until you take loot. It’s also super rippy as someone mentioned.
Yes, expedition monsters can get super rippy, especially in combination with wisps for example
