I never got why people complained about him killing Zod and then crying about it. What else was he gonna do? Zod was about to laser that family in half. Superman yelled because he didn’t want to kill anyone (ignoring the collateral), especially since he is now the last kryptonian left. He broke his rule when he had no other choice. That warrants a Mental Breakdown.
Henry Cavill stopped playing Superman after Warner Bros screwed him over too many times after playing the character in 2013, as Cavill wouldn't fit into James Gunn's DC Studios. Not only that, Netflix screwed him over after playing The Witcher.
Henry Cavill walked around Times Square wearing glasses and a Superman T-shirt, even standing under a Superman vs Batman billboard, and no one recognized him.
I absolutely fell in love with this movie🔥🔥🔥 A lot of people don't get that it's not a Superman movie it's a movie about Kal-El growing and becoming Superman. That's the reason Snyder Named it Man Of Steel!
Henry Cavill is also in the fantasy film, "Stardust," with Charlie Cox(who also plays Daredevil), Peter O'Toole, Claire Danes, Robert DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mark Strong, Ricky Gervais, among others.
George Reeves was Superman in the 1950s. Christopher Reeves was Superman in the 70s and early 80s. Then Brandon Routh was Superman in Superman Returns. Then came Henry Cavill as the 4th movie Superman.
Man Of Steel turned me into a huge Superman fan and also a huge Henry Cavill fan! Anyways people complaining about the damage when the military caused almost as much damage as Zod. They launched an all out assault on the Kryptonians that did zero damage to them.
There is an entire layer of world building of Snyder's Krypton, from tech to the cultural aspect like the language system (seen in certain different scenes on the background & on their Liquid Geo displays) and the different ancestry house names & symbols. Jor El belongs to house of El while his wife Lara Lor Van is from house of Van. General Zod real name is Dru Zod, General is a title earned in the military. While Jor llived in a citadel far from the city, Dru Zod lived in the major metropolis called Kandor. The scout ship in the glacier had it's own backstory in a prequel comic book of Man of Steel explaining how it crashed in Antarctica thousand years ago. It's original pilot was Kara Zor El aka Supergirl.

But this movie is really really bad. At least it sets up a character for involvement in a few of the 3 actually decent DCU movies... But hey, at least Cavill and Shannon are great here.
It comes across that way because the movie was intended to be gritty, realistic, serious. Not comedic like the majority of other Superhero movies. MOS was basically Nolan's/Zack's version of the Dark knight cemented in a darker tone.
How did Zack Snyder Lack understanding of Superman/Clark Kent. This movie showed the very beginning of Superman's career, He hadn't done anything as superman yet, until Zod came, so what is there to not understand. I think you are the one not understanding. But skip josstice league please
Bad movie with a great score. The lack of understanding of the character of Superman/Clark Kent is stunning.
How did Zack Snyder Lack understanding of Superman/Clark Kent. This movie showed the very beginning of Superman's career, He hadn't done anything as superman yet, until Zod came, so what is there to not understand. I think you are the one not understanding. Superman just became Superman in this movie.
Superman = 😵💫🤢🤮
Kryptonite HAS to be in every script otherwise a superman moblve makes even less sense as he is unstoppable LITERALLY without it. I will never watch a superman film as long as a live. Talk about the most boring character alive. It is only due to his powers why he isn't an actual Beta male.
These movies were terrible compared to Superman ‘78. Snyder is an awful filmmaker.
You're wrong, but that's fine since his films speak more on big ideas.
It's difficult to make movie which can satisfy both smart people and dumb people.
Thank you.
For you viewing pleasure please watch Henry Cavill in "The Count of Monte Cristo" (2002).
Thank you for watching ❤️
Yes he's only a teenager in that movie, 19 yrs old.
Yeah, like, this iteration is a little too dark for me. Just sayin.....
What's dark about it? It's the beginning of Superman. Oh, he snapped Zod's neck. Is that the darkness you were talking about?
