I owned one of these way back. It was the sweetest, smoothest, quickest bike anyone could ever ask for. Only draw back, it's fuel consumption was awful, and the carbies required balancing often. City riding was not too hot, the valves would get a build up of carbon on the stem, preventing them from opening fully when you wanted a high speed run. So you had to allow the revs to go high in normal ridding, otherwise she would cough and fart until carbon cleared. High tension leads needed extra care as well, the bakelight plug covers cracked easily and then when moisture got in the cracks she'd misfire and run on three cylinders only, took ages to find that fault. 200,000 K's later had to sell her. Sad, sad day.
The most beautiful looking motorbike ever. Why oh why did I sell mine in 1975, oh yes I couldn't afford the £29 a month HP payments. How I would love to own that beauty in the video. In the meantime I will keep my 74 CB125 S1 running.
I had the same bike in 1980. Cruising up and down the canyons near Boulder, CO is a treasured memory but the 500F would vapor lock and I had to pull over frequently to let it cool off. I'm sure it probably wasn't tuned properly.
Nicely restored and arguably the perfect size / power output for U.K.roads. Minor roads are badly maintained and 40% of the police force are engaged on major roads seeking easy convictions, as they don't have the get up and go (or whatever) to catch many serious criminals.
Had a ratty one back in the 80s with a 4 into one megaphone exhaust on the right.side. I cut the pipes off right before the collector. Discovered that if you heat the pipes a while, those inexpensive exhaust tips from the old air cooled vw mufflers fit right up inside the pipes. Sounded a bit better due to some soundproofing they had in them , and they looked great , like an old hot rod header. some superbike bars and one of those cheap round cafe racer fairings and it wasnt half bad. Didn't have a lot of cash back then,
Pretty bad when bikes from 50 years ago look better than modern day machines. Had a CB750K1 in this same candy garnet brown. A real beauty. Ride a '22 blue Z900RS and it looks great, but these 500's are something special. Oh yeah, bring back horns like these so we don't have to put up with the anemic ones they put on now.
I had the exact bike when I was sixteen. Same color, same pipes and seat. Wonder what this would sell for these days? Think I paid seven hundred Canadian for mine way back than. It was a few years old when I bought it.
I had a 1976 Benelli 6 cylinder version of the CB500 Four a 750 sei; it seemed like it had an electric motor. It was not as reliable as my Honda's, though.
The pistons from a XL125 Honda will bolt into this cb 500 four .. the advantages the XL 125 Pistons have a high dome on them increasing the compression ratio of the cb500 four to around 11 to 1 with acceleration that of a 750
I love the old seventies bikes so stylish and timeless.

Beautiful bike! 👌🤗🚲
I had a cb-500. nice bike when she ran. Electrical system was a pain and people seemed to have this mania for stealing parts off of it.

Beautiful machine

Sooo clean and sooo beautiful ❤❤❤❤
How do these lovely old machines handle the warmer temperatures being air cooled ?

I have a 72 500four. Almost as clean as yours. Love your store and all those classics! Don't see the price anywhere

I have a cb350f, cb500f and a cb750f. All of them concourse. It's great being retired. Cheers.
Thanks for the flash back when I was in high school I bought a brand new one same year same root beer color.

My second bike was the 550/4, I wish I still had it. You have some amazing machines in your shop, at one point I wondered if it was a museum :)
Very nice bike👍🏻but the prices asked for bikes like these is silly these days ✌🏻
Man I had one of these. Sweet little bike. I hate that I had to sell it.
Beautiful bike. I had the same bike in the Honda green. I never should have sold it. Its almost impossible to find one now..
Who else recognized that classic song "Part time Lover" by Stevie Wonder...apart from those awesome classic motorcycles?
Lovely motorcycle ❤ Honda plus the Candy Coffee ☕ Color 😊 just beats the plastic buckets,( er- bikes) we see nowadays 😂
That's so nice ,, love that bronze
My first bike 🏍 in 1977
Looks great, if I had the money I'd buy one. I'm sure my Raleigh striker had similar bar grips.
I always preferred the CB500~550 four to the 750. Don´t ask why...
I had a '72 just like yours. Would love to have one again. BUT I'm in Canada, pity.
This is a 1972 model, my first bike.

Nice video. Beautiful '74 !! :-)
Bellissima, complimenti.

Had one for 3 years, put 33,000 miles on her!

Donde consigues piezas originales?
Dunstall Honda in the shop, very nice
What a beauty 👌🏻
Simply nice ❣❣
Why no MOT result
Don’t know if the owner realises, the fuel tap is switched to “off”
I think it's in the "emergency spare" position.
Loved
Nice bike! I am working on making mine as nice. Did you rebuild the wheels?
