The following is a transcript of the base conversation with Volug, with Volug's speech translated. Micaiah: Volug, where-how did you get this?! Volug: I got it from the ruins in the desert. Micaiah: From the ruins in the desert? Oh, you got it when we were there before? Volug: No, not quite. Micaiah: No? Then...how? When? Volug: You should keep it. Micaiah: What? It’s for me? Volug: I’ll catch up to you later. Micaiah: Wait! Volug? Did he go back to the desert just to get this...?
I feel like Classing up a unit so close to level 10 ruins any chance of them being good. Promoted units are effectively level 21 at level 1, but promoting someone who's level 11 effectively makes them a level 12 unit at level. Also, the game never outright tells you this as far as I recall, but units can promote through experience. An unpromoted unit at level 20 will continue to gain experience, and when the bar fills again, they'll Class Change instead of leveling up. Speaking of things the game never outright tells you, level ups achieved through bonus experience are meant to be used strategically, and they can potentially hamper a unit's growth if used too freely. Bonus experience level ups only ever raise three stats at the most, regardless of the character's growth rates. Even if a character would have gotten 5 or 6 stat increases from a level achieved through battle, if Bonus experience is used instead they only get 3. The strategic use is to get any stats for which a character has high growth rates as high as possible, and then when growth through level ups slows to the point that even through battle level ups only grant three stat increases or even less, that's when you pump them full of Bonus experience to maximize growth. While Bonus experience level ups only grant 3 stat increases at the most, said increases are actually very stable. My words are a technicality. The only way a Bonus experience level up would grant less than 3 stat increases would be if there were less than three stats with room to grow.
Welcome back!!
Glad you're back watching too.

Welcome Back dude.
You have any other fire emblem playthroughs planned later in?
I've heard rumors of a possible Geneology of the Holy War remake in the works. If that comes out, I definitely want to play it.
