Looks like Daphne blue to me. Sonic Blue has a greyish hue to it, not as bright as Daphne. Great playing as always!

That reissue sounds date perfect. Oh yeah, if I remembere right, we used to take one of the springs off the 3 way switch to get it to stay in that great out off phase position. Love the show, thanks

Interested in knowing what type of amp and rig set-up your using with that oh so sweet strat! My Marshall amp hums like that when it’s cold, so I wonder if the humming at the beginning of the demo is a result of a cold pre-amp? Great sound and tonal range though!😎👍
The reason for the "hum that goes away" is the enormous amount of overload compression from the camera mic (or whatever mic is picking up the guitar). The guitar volume is always WAY too loud for the mic and camera to handle - on all the Guitar Of The Day videos. There's a little hum from the guitar and amp rig, and that's the start of the problem. But when the very loud guitar signal begins, the camera mic goes into drastic compression, and the hum disappears because it's a lower volume than the guitar signal. Then it comes back during the talky parts. The drastic compression squashes the dynamic range and makes the hum as loud as the guitar notes. Setting proper record levels might solve the problem...most of it, anyway.

I have a 3 tone sunburst version of this 60 NOS from same time. I really need to play it more. It’s so gorgeous I hesitate taking it out of the case. Shame on me.

Hey, does anyone know where I can find a similar case for a lefty strat ?
It’s the same case. A left handed Strat will fit this case as well. If you notice, when he opens the case the right handed guitar is upside down. A left handed guitar will be right side up. My brother is lefty and I have home one of my cases and it works perfectly.

@@_spirit_6793 when I did it, it fit great. Maybe it was a slightly different case? Looks the same. If you call or email Fender, that are usually really quick to respond.
