The absence of any mistakes is amazing
The neck of this Stratocaster is warped, there is zero space between the high E string and the edge of the fretboard, on the low E string it looks exactly the other way around, there is an unnecessary amount of space, and the dots are not in the middle between the D - and the G string! The neck is warped here, this guitar needs to go to a luthier. This guitar is not fully playable! But it just says Fender on it! Well then buy your Fenders.

Very nice Stratocaster, it’s only drawback was the amateur bondo style filled in patch job near the bottom strap button along the edge that killed it for me at $6000+. Sounds great though.

Wow, I had one the exact same color and year, even bought it down the street from Norm's at a small music store!!
I think I paid around $450 for it and the Store let me buy it on a loan and I paid about $100 a month with my paper route and baby sitting funds. I had to sell it in 1976 to buy a brand new Chevy 1/2 ton 4 by 4 truck from Rancho Chevrolet on Reseda Blvd. Today I wish I had both Lol!!

That's an extremely good sounding strat.a.gig machine in the right hands. Imho
Thats a beautiful strat, and still cutting through real nice, i have a '74 just like it, and a '79 natural, and a '80 25th anniversary, those guitars are real easy to shape, contour, and color your sound...
I think the 25 anniv strat was 1979. Always wanted one, but then found bass guitar. Gibson Thunderbird. 😉
@@surfbug1 yeah your right bout that anniversary strat, I just call it an '80 because the music store I bought it from was just a small store and the owner got stuck with five of them, I got mine in late '80 and paid 800 for it, with case, back in '80 800.00 dollars for a strat was pretty high, especially when you could get a Les Paul custom for 750 with case, man have times changed... And that Les Paul had all the bells and whistles too three piece maple neck, flamed with volute, mother of pearl inlays ebony fretboard, non weight relief, gold hardware, which really popped with wine red finish, man how times changed, now most people need to take out a 5,000 loan to get a new one, and there seems to be something missing, like old school quality and workman ship... sorry man just rambling on...

Gibson- RD standard -- new
Gibson Firebird--- 1976 model, bicentennial model, new
Gibson Les Paul 1969 needed fret job.
I got the RD standard for about $400. The others were about the same $450 to $500.
Still have the rd standard, worth about 800$.
Les Paul? 50k
Firebird? 8-12k

Having grown up in the 70’s, these were poorly made terrible instruments thanks to CBS taking over Fender….my brother had a pre cbs tele I ended up taking to most gigs.
Zipers against guitars are not good. Thought Agnesi was back.
