Haley was easily the most talented contestant of American Idol in season 10 and obviously one of the best contestants of all time to have ever appeared on American Idol.
Gal has pipes for sure. She can do any song, every song. Just amazing. Slayin' it for sure.
This is like a dream come true finding this song sung by her, outstanding performance

The only reason why Haley Reinhart didn't win is because American Idol permitted power-voting. Had American Idol not permitted power-voting, Haley would have won the show easily hands down in a major landslide going away .

Never got into this show, but this season was fantastic because of performers like Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams.

What bugged me the most about this season of Idol was that Haley was BY FAR the better singer of the remaining three contestants. She was a pure artist with an amazing range, style and stage presence. She was seasoned. But the Idol producers wanted a bonafide commercial star on their hands. Looking back on the most successful Idol winners they were Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, both very country at their roots. So Idol producers wanted to guarantee a country winner. Haley got the shaft, but she still wins on talent many years down the road.
Wrong. The American Idol producers, with Randy at first and then with Randy and JLO double teaming together to sabotage Haley's performances all miserably failed to get Haley voted of the show. In the end, the reason why Haley didn't win American Idol is because the show permitted power-voting. Had power-voting not been permitted, Haley would have easily won American Idol hands down in a major landslide going away.

I completely stopped watching this show after Haley lost. Not only that, but she lost to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina, two BORING country singers. Like, seriously, America? How'd Haley lose after THIS?

I'm sort of with you there. Scotty and Lauren both have good voices. Scotty looks as if he is going to be another Jim Reeves.Nice bass voice (although with some cornball pronunciations which I'm inclined to think are deliberately affected). Lauren put in some good performances too. However, when you consider all that Haley did, undoubtedly she was far and away the most talented performer of them all.
They’re all still kinda famous tho. Haley even has a Netflix cartoon she voices.

A great, great performance. Some real mean guitar from Harry too. No criticism of this song choice this time from Randy or J-Lo although I'm sure many, many of the AI followers wouldnna know this song which came out in 1969! Yet Haley was criticised several times for song choices because fans wouldn't know them. I'm sure most younger fans wouldna have known "The House of the Rising Sun" either. The judges' criticisms, if not actually deliberately prejudiced, were certainly incompetent and unhelpful. And why did they want to put her in a box with a label like Pop Singer or Country Singer etc.? She showed that she can sing almost anything and has the class to make it her own.
here fall actually aloud for some veteran flavor into the song, with the pause for the background singers to harmonize it up a bit, and catching the rhythm back with "BE MINE" ...it was actually quite perfecto of a mishap

Even though Haley got special permission from Led Zeppelin themselves to cover this song because they think she is such a talented vocalist, fans like this always think know better.
