Yeah I remember doing King pins for the first time in my life, I was helping my friend install them on his 62 Impala let’s just say we struggled for the first 3-4 hours until his Pops showed up and introduced us to a king pin bushing reamer. Let’s just say he had to buy a new set of bushing and king pins.
Not to say that you have come a long way but you’ve come a long ways! Your craftsmanship and dedication to the Ford truck family it greatly appreciated! Well done!
A note about those I-Beam oblong bushings on the narrow end. When they give out, they just go, and there is no warning. But you wont notice until you are driving, feel like your truck is misaligned, align it, drive it, then realize you didn't align it right, do it again, same issue, and then realize after 4 alignments that you have an issue, and spend 2 days looking for the issue not even noticing that that bushing is missing and you've been widening the hole over and over. Ask me how I know. Luckily, I will never have to replace a set on my 67 for as long as I live, but they will give out. And you will cry trying to figure out why your truck keeps falling out of alignment. Cheers. Love the new shirt, this is the first time I have ordered your merch, and glad it was on the Crew.
That looks amazing! Having done a similar clean up and paint on my c10, I can say it's one of the most satisfying things you can do. Can't wait to see this thing continue to progress.
I have a similar combo to yours Craig, a white 93 crew cab f350 dually and a red and white 93 single cab long bed f150, gonna be taking a photo to show you.
Going on about spray paint cans, spray gun painting, and clear. Wait till you find out about powder coating. 😂🤣 did my whole front suspension because WHILE WE’ER HERE & gotta finish the rear once it gets back from the Body Shop
ive got mixed feeling about powdercoating. maybe shop around me cannot do a good job but it doesn't last as long as the good ol epoxy primer and oil based paint in the Canadian winter salt. ive seen rim turn to rust after a single winter. while my steelies are still looking great after 7yrs of winter use and washed maybe once. 😅
@@Bowtie4me possible prepping issue/ cheap powder because I’ve had no problems out of mine or my homie that daily his car. My guy treats powder ike paint sandblasting, wipe down, primer coats, then color(s) & candies/textures.
You, and your shop mates, should invest in a blasting cabinet. Either sand or less aggressive media. I think you'd save a ton of time over grinding and needle scaling. That, or win the lottery and invest in a laser cleaning rig... ETA: you mentioned a blasting cabinet about a minute after I posted... 😆
Very nice setup! Love it, keep it coming!! Question though, did your power steering gear box get rebuilt, or was it not leaking? My 69 power steering gear box is leaking some, and wondering how you addressed that.
@@john242ti I thought so too but it only looks like one side houses a piston and the other side was some beefy bracket. Even in that shot after everything was painted and the 2 halves were sitting in the box, there’s only what looks like 1 side each
I know you put all that work into the front suspension but do you think you’d ever convert it to 4wd with a twin traction beam? Or would you just do superduty solid axles for the conversion?
Tell me you matched the beams to your mustache without telling me you matched the beams to your mustache! Pickup is looking great! Can’t wait for the engine vid!
Craig. Are you shipping to Australia yet? Last time I placed an order, you refunded me the money and said you were not able to do international shipping.
Don't understand ,sand blast it quicker ,powerboat it better,,bigger tyres turn it into live axle 4wd,diesel so you tow with good milage😅all pretty pointless

Gotta love the "while im here" mentally with vehicles 😅
Great. Video love the truck content! 🏴☠️
Had a saying back in the day, keep the shiny side up but in your case you want to keep the shiny side down.
You need a media blasting cabinet potentially i know th bigfer stuff of course by hand but the smaller stuff yeah
Most of the time I see big trucks all the time this one of a kind when you spend time and money to build a your own dream truck yours.
Clean setup
The truck is lookin’ dope.
It's interesting to note that Ford still puts twin I beam suspension on their two wheel drive super duties to this day.
This is the ultimate "while were here" project i have ever seen
It's looking good 👍 Craig lots of hard Labor
Would have looked good with the SPRINGS in GOLD also.

I am still wondering if you're ever gonna get those ported FE heads mounted on that 390 so we can hear it run.
been waiting so long for this video!!!!!!
@Thecraig909 I saw the AN fittings on the gear box. What did you use? I want to use the same.
Where's the Galaxie?!?!
So if you heated the beam to lift the truck. Would/could I do the same to lower one? Don't want to buy the drop spindles...
Clean 🧼
This has come a long since we first saw it on Dylan McCool’s farm
I cherish the days when a bunch of us friends would gather up at a friends garage and just work on our cars n trucks together . Good Times !!!
Any chance you could post up a short of those calipers? Are they 2 or 4 piston?
Looks like they're four piston.

Did you choose paint over powder coat for a reason?
Ayo Craig if you ever get the chance to buy a skat blast I’d highly suggest it, their game changers
I’m excited to see how you hook up with Volvo electric power steering. Might as well do my
whered he get the front rotors from i cant find any where i live

Is that Egyptian metallic gold color?

What topper is on it?
Fine, I’ll finally tear apart my bump to paint the front end….but while I’m in there, might as swap the motor
You need a sandblasting booth

We are! That was an issue during covid. We’re world wide now.
Can you use a gimbal camera ? Some of your videos are impossible to watch from all the movement. Thank you
It would be cool if you did an obs
