@@SimsimsamTravels I’m from Mexico, Philippines. It’s in Luzon. I am a Pampangeña. Pampanga is known as the Culinary Capital of the Philippines. The food is incredible. And oooooh, the women are soooo pretty! You can Google that, I didn’t make that up. 😉 But anyway, I grew up in the states. Living in Miami. I haven’t been to the Philippines since I left. @15:00 If the cock lived up to 6 months, it has lived 4x the length of the chicken you had at Jollibee. Chicken are mostly harvested 45 days after hatching.

Hey Sam. I still don't know if I want to say anything about this tradition, so yeah. The coconuts look very tasty, I want to try them sometime. Glad to see you are enjoying your time. Stay safe. 👊
So nice this vlog again. Lots of action. So nice also, you met 2 fellow vloggers.........It's true most of the food in Philippines these days is very sweet or too salty. It is becoming hard to find authentic Pinoy food.😢
While cockfighting is banned in many countries, in the Philippines we even have grand derby fights called the "Slashers Cup", a grand international prestigious event held at the Araneta Coliseum, Manila where many international cock breeders would join and compete. Gamefowl roosters here are considered gladiators that are bred to fight. While many consider it a violent sport and so they were banned, here it is considered a game and betting sport, held usually during Sundays. What is illegal though are those fights which do not have permits or licenses by the government for they are strictly regulated.
My friends and I went to Siargao recently and I would very much like to go back but airfare to Siargao is a bit expensive compared to others. You should go to Cloud 9 for sunset viewing. And do the tri-island tour. Lunch was so good. You'll definitely enjoy it. 😁
It is pricy, that's why I chose bus and ferry to get there as well. I wanted to do the island tour, but I had a motorbike accident, that limited my trip in the end...
Amazing video, always showing us the real side. At first, I was turned off at cockfighting but cant be hypocritical whilst eating chicken in the west where they have worse conditions.
The Cassava you've just ate is also good with ice cream. That is very famous in Bohol maybe next time sam . The Name of the Restau. is Bohol Bee Farm . What makes it delicious is they put coconut milk on it so the taste is quite unique and refreshing❤.

cockfighting is our version of gladiators. instead of humans its chickens. but just as brutal. 1st time i witness it i cried. So when somebody call you a chicken for being afraid just remember those gradiator chickens we have
Cockfighting is huge in the Philippines. Betting is based on honor system. If you take a bet and lose or win you had better honor it or you will be in a world of trouble.
I grew up with uncles who were into cock fights. It is cruel, but like you said the commercial chickens aren't treated much better either. 🤷♀. First time seeing those human drones and it does makes for great videos! Leave it to pinoys! 🤣🤣 Mann, we're gonna miss you, Sam when your PH series is done!😥
Yeah, it is such a normal thing in the Philippines. Especially loved by men, so passionate. The human drone was something 😄 kudos to them. It's almost over Mimi, I already miss the Philippines...
Cockfighting has existed in the Philippines since before the Spanish invasion. Indigenous tribes and early settlers engaged in cockfighting for leisure and amusement, transforming into a form of gambling during Spanish rule. I do not view it as cruel, as animals naturally engage in combat just like humans do in wrestling, boxing, and karate & etc. I was disappointed when the Filipina couldn't correctly interpret "Nice to Meet You" in Cebuano, translating it as "Nalipay ko Nagkaila ta" at 23:07. It made me feel both sad and angry. I wondered how she would handle more serious English phrases and sentences. It seemed like she was just seeking attention and trying to impress good-looking foreigners. While I don't want to judge her, I couldn't help but feel this way, as I was raised in a city where clubbing and prostitution were common sources of income during the American presence in the country in the 70s and 80s.
I can tell how embedded it is to filipino culture and how passionate everyone involved is. As for the translation, not everybody is good at it on the spot 😄 I struggle to translate between German and English as well
@@SimsimsamTravels The closest Tagalog translation that is normally used is "Ikinagagalak kong makilala ka". Translated literally it means "I'm glad to know you". Quite a mouthful but if you can nail that one that would be impressive. Haha.
