Thank you for the beautiful video. Burgos cathedral was one of my favourite highlights of the Camino. A gem that many people don’t know about until they go on the Way. You captured it perfectly. 👍

I’ve been traveling a lot around Europe and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard about Burgos before - it’s such an impressive Cathedral

Thank you for all the views of the vaulted ceilings. In person, it can be hard on the neck so this way we really get to see all the details. You views of the countryside as, as usual, just wonderful.

When you learn about what went into constructing those medieval/early Modern cathedrals, you really appreciate them all the more! This one is just gorgeous!

Someone had an extremely well developed imagination and ability to communicate it with extraordinary skill. How does one stand in the presence of such? The photography was great, thanks. I shake my head…wondering how someone like me is gifted with such beauty. Thank you for sharing this. From northern Kentucky

Thank you for the beautiful videos. I have such mixed emotions when see these places where my family came from over 500 years ago. Why did we leave the beauty. I’m a true Mestizo like millions in the Americas. My genes show me at 42% from that area Basques we are and Mexicanos. Love the history but can’t help but feel the sorrow. Thank you for giving feelings thru the music n videos. ❤

Mixed emotions about the such former glory of Burgo Cathedral built at the expense of Spanish peasants. Nevertheless my deep appreciation of the beauty. Korean foods is interesting. No one in Camino videos ever talks about it. I’d look forward to dining wonderful Korean food in the Camino next Spring. I’ll thank you Jay, for enlightening me with hopes of it. ❤

We have mixed emotions as well and recently discussed how the Spaniards got some of that gold, melting down relics from the Incans. Hope you have fun on the Camino next year!

Beautiful job documenting this Cathedral Jay. I can only images how much better it is in person. The camera never does it justice, but your camera did better than most!! Hahaha. Your hike was great. Too bad you got hit with rain. One day is not bad.

      My review on Google:
I went here for the comedy show... which was the staff interacting with their customers... they were so rude to unsuspecting customers, it was so awful that it actually became funny... I just thought of it as a Spanish version of the British 'Faulty Towers'... the Maitre de gets a 12/10 for her on stage skills 👍👍👍
Don't worry I was also part of the act to start with, but then I just took a back seat and watched the show...
      Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5
      Vegetarian options
Some of the frozen pizzas were vegetarian the temperature they are served at can vary depending on the mood of the kitchen staff...😊😁

      And warned my followers of:
be aware this maître d puts up with 'no shit' do not dare to sit at a table set for 4 if you are only 2 personas.... & if you even try to use the WC before confirming a table 😱... watching her is better than the amazing view of the Burgos Cathedral that I have...

Great video, Jay. EL CID is buried in Burgos Cathedral. You filmed his burial site! It was toward the end of your video - down the long hall at the end. Not far from your shot of Tina sitting by the stained glass. Charleston Heston played EL CID in that classic movie …. Thanks for a great video!

What’s sad is you should never have to pay to visit a house of god. The Catholic Church is no longer about god but about greed.

    • @JayWandersOut
      @JayWandersOut  ปีที่แล้ว

To be fair, there was a chapel just for mass that was free but the museum aspect of it was for pay and even then it was amazingly cheap compared to everywhere else we've been lately.
