      @@melbabefitness149 I just submitted my application for Peace Corps so ANYTHING you think applicants should know about Peace Corps that they don't tell you would be helpful! Like the things you find out when you get there ahaha

    Thanks for the video. Really helpful! What’s safety and transportation like? Also did you have to leave DR when the pandemic started last year ?

      Keep in mind my diet was different because I was losing weight while I was there. But there are a ton of fresh fruits/veggies! Transportation was by bus and in extremely rural areas it was by motorcycle but you needed special permission to use one because of safety.
      I ended up leaving earlier than expected for other reasons but my cohort was like 3-4 weeks away from closing out their service which was devastating for them. I still get chills thinking about it. Imagine working hard and developing relationships for 2 years and then without notice being told you have a few hours to pack and get to the capital to leave. They didn’t have time to say goodbyes to everyone and celebrate finishing service.
