My husband called to say he'd be home soon. So when my two doxies started barking at the door, I opened it. IT WAS 'NOT' MY HUSBAND! It WAS an intruder! The boy dog ran straight for him. The girl ran round behind in a coordinated attack. Every time the man planted his back foot to kick the boy, the girl bit it. You might be surprised just how hard it is to kick something only 10" tall that has snapping jaws and moves as fast as lightening. Needless to say the intruder ran away limping with his socks all torn to hell! Bottom line: I had no idea that my little love bugs had 'that' in them. But that night...I'm sure glad that they did.
My grown, huge nephew laughed at me when I told him to not play fight me too aggressively. He had pit bulls & thought my doxies were nothing to be scared of. While sitting on the floor, he reached out & slapped at my foot. My boy went straight for his throat!!! Scared the shit out of him! 😂
We have a Beautiful Little Girl Doxie,She seems feisty but soon backs off When challenged😔 I like to think if it came to the crunch She’d be an AWESOME Guardian🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I have had 10 they all have similarities and unique quirks too. if you only want one look for a induvial with a very calm personality. I had one I've had 3 I've had 4 at a time all very different dynamics. all have been great travelers. they bark, they kill things, do not give them rawhide. their short legs are not really much of a limitation, they are very smart, and almost instant learners. you must maintain pack leadership or they will walk all over you. I had a senior male that was thew floor boss that ruled over 3 just by looking at them over his shoulder at them it was very subtle but in doxie world he ruled the roost until the day he died at 16.5yo. they definitely have their own thing going on.
My daughter dacky is lovely, but insists on climbing and then jumping. His knees slip out a lot as a result. He also has a bad habit of play biting other dogs necks and faces. Fortunately the other dogs are all well trained and tell him off without hurting him. He does not share at all, even his owners.
yes . I had 4 dachsunds and my one male hated other dogs and would go after them. The other 3 I had I was able to train but this one male I had to walk on path where there were no other dogs around
I see you used clips from my friend Doxie Dins channel.... that's awesome

Yep! Dachshunds are noise machines! I owned one who would even bark in his sleep!
