No talking, Just Walking..
For the best viewing experience, make sure to watch the videos in 4K HDR! No vlog, no music, no talking. Just a real-life walking experience with real ambient sounds -the best way to experience from CityWalk4u..
📍Cheung Chau is an island 10 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong Island. It is nicknamed the 'dumbbell island' due to its shape. It has been inhabited for longer than most other places in Hong Kong, and had a population of 22,740 as of 2011. Administratively, it is part of the Islands District. 🏝
Caught the regular ferry from Central Pier 5, takes a leisurely 50mins to get to Cheung Chau Wan pier. There's a narrow land strip between North and South ends of the island. West side is the port/moorings/restaurants, East side is the beach. Beach is what you would expect for an island this close to HK - OK for a swim, water sports and photos. Best feature is the walks on the South end of the island. The is a "Central and Southern" loop that follows the Mini Great Wall, which provides good views - I have uploaded a photo of the map. Path is paved the whole way, but can be slippery in places when wet especially where forested. Map says 1 hour, but plan for 2 hours if you want to take side tracks and/or it's wet. Mostly well sign posted by needed Google Maps to navigate me through the roads on the North end of the loop. Note that "roads" are really "paths" on Cheung Chau because there are no cars on the island. Good day away from Hong Kong.
