Hydra is actually my go to for ALL leads. I am working on a "deathcore" project for a client and I had hydra ripp a solo with lots of runs and sweep picking. It sounds amazing. If anything, the lower notes are a bit muddy compared to just pitching down the 7 string products. I find myself cutting a little low end and boosting high on the EQ before the amp sometimes.
@@HollowHeart-Studioyea, I’ve rarely used hydra for its intended purpose for djent lol, I only ever use it as a fat lead guitar with sometimes using it as a nice rhythm

@prodGABAI just raw guitar sound brother. I think it default but I bought shreddage 3 hydra the week it came out. So, it might be a little different for you.

I find it so strange how good hydra is for leads despite it being an 8 strings

No preset. I use the shreddage di and process it with external plugins like I would a real guitar.
