i do like the idea of saving Originite Prime for skins but... still its just skins... and since im not in a rush with the game (cause im way more into to it then i thought i would ever be, i prefer to do it on headhunting and getting into the story+gacha of the game, but those are really good tips and really appreciated that you made it, keep up the good work.

Better late than never, granted in the begining of the game we need to do lots of summons anyways whale or not so its all good. I purchased and whaled out prety hard, bought all packs and orandum up to the second last pack. Most of my 3 and 4 stars maxed out, skyfire near full potential, 6 stars are Angelina Siege, silverAsh, 2x Exuciai and Saria... well worth it, with 84 days of monthly card supply. Guess now I have time to do savings on them Orandums. :p

I'm going to have to quibble about your point about converting OP to Orundum. Since everyone starts out with 3800 orundrum, I got antsy when I rerolled and spent OP to do a 10 roll on the 6k banner, maybe even to do another 10 pull on the newbie banner. Ended up starting out with Eljya, Siege and Texas and my 2nd reroll account. Now I'm in save mode for skins and future banners. I agree that it isn't something you want to spend constantly, but starting out with a decent boost is nice, if a gamble. Also helping my decision was that the Exusai banner was ending in a few days since I started late and rerolled later.
And that's perfectly fine! The idea is that some people don't just use a little bit more to roll, they use it ALL and as soon as they get it. That part in the video was to prevent that.
I think, only buy the 6 star. You will get plenty of 5 stars over time especially with the gaurentee in the banner. But getting a 6 star is such a low probability it is always going to be worth it as a non whale.
I will say getting that 10 dollar starter pack was pretty big boost, let me easily E1 my team without really needing to farm mats aside from LMD. Probably gonna sit on the starter headhunt till ch'en comes out top waifu in the game personally. I will be trying for skaldi but Ch'en is the only one i'm willing to full on whale to get.

The grind to E2 never ends! For the stages, the first one is around a 1.3 to 1.4 conversion rate, but unlike the CE and LS stage, the AP stages should be done at "endgame"
The way you say ambience is old english lol. I also thought the furniture icon was a hammer but upon closer inspection, I'm pretty sure it's just a nail. I don't think spending prime for sanity is worth it. It's a pve game... I get it if there was a pvp aspect or a leaderboard.
Note that the Starter Headhunting Pack is actually worse than buying the Originite Prime packs with the first time purchase bonus. It is however better once the Originite Prime packs don't have the bonus up (and this is the price per single pull). The 10-pull tickets force you to do all ten pulls in one go, when if trying to stretch your Originite Prime and the like as much as possible, you want to do single pulls until you get a 5+star (guaranteed one in your first 10 pulls) and stop as soon as you get that. Then wait and save your Originite Prime until the next gacha. Meaning while the 10-pull tickets are a better deal than the normal packs without the first time purchase bonus, they are only better in situations where you get that guaranteed 5+ star on the 10th pull or you just plan on pulling lots on that single gacha until you get what you want and you don't get it by the 9th pull, then from 10 onwards would be a better deal.

What Drakon said is correct, the only time they didn't follow this rule was the next banner, where Texas will be in the shop. Otherwise, it will ALWAYS be the middle operator of the trio.

Not really, tho I do suggest holding back a bit on E1'ing vanguards unless you have enough battle records to level them up a few levels. Because when operators E1 they also increase their cost, this may or may not result in the auto-battle system failing to deploy or mimic the original copy. (do ask me to clarify if this is a bit technical)

While the originate does provide a lot of uses, the use of grinding LMD takes your sanity just like that. So I think having an 80000 LMD boost is great

Stop doing 10 summons. Only do singles on banners that guarantee a 5 or 6 star. Once you get a 5 or 6 quit rolling. You'll potentially save a ton of orumdum for future polls. Use head hunting permits to your advantage as well. Save em up for single rolls to save even more orumdum. You'll start getting tons of orumdum per week once you can clear annihilation, dailies, and weeklies.

It's a bad idea but realistically the packs are limited. It's not like you can afford to get 3 levels when the banner with your waifu is ending tomorrow. I don't mind converting over 50 originate just to get enough for the rolls. I would rather have my favourite unit than some rocks I would be too scared to ever spend
Is it really called whaling when all currency is obtainable just from playing the game? Likewise, you can pay irl money to help you "accelerate" the progress moving forward than those that don't pay, but eventually they too will get there

Each virtual currency in arknights is farmable. You are just getting a boost in time spent if you did spend money.

I'm not saying that those behind Arknights are predatorial in their business tactics, but to say that we are seen as "supporters" and that they don't make sure to market their games to fully "exploit" whales, is very naïve. Almost(I don't like dealing in absolutes) everything that is put out there on the market is made for profit, and to make as much profit as possible. Some are scummier, some go way over the line, and some are more honest(like in Arknights case, at least for now), but don't ever think that companies are your friends.
The number of friend credits you can eventually get daily makes buying out most things you need in that particular shop pretty easy. Some days you'll have way over 300 credits so maxing out both Courier and Gavial are not a big deal (I haven't had a need to use Courier a lot since I have a lot of vanguards, but maxed him out anyway). Just work on getting a full friend list, work to max the ambiance in your dorms, exchange clues, and use someone's support once daily (I go back and run a low sanity challenge mode in the main story once daily with a friends unit - it also nets me one Originite Prime). Doing any of the above will help increase the friend credits you get daily. Oh, and I skip buying Expedited Plans even if they're on sale since once you get 4 slots in the recruitment thing you probably won't be able to get enough Recruitment Permits to keep constantly using the recruitment feature so frequently.
Great video, just want to give some constructive criticism and my personal experience with your video style. Please don't take offense to this. Your cadence is incredibly irritating and personally makes me anxious feeling like i'm forcibly grabbing every small phrase from you to attempt to create a flowing sentence. Your script is fine, but you really need to work on the delivery. Even at 1.5 speed I couldn't finish the video because of how slow you speak and pause after every couple words. Honestly I haven't seen any of your other videos so maybe you only spoke this way because you were unfamiliar with the game and had to double check that you're using the correct terminology for every currency and I could understand that. The video could have been half the length and I'm positive you would receive a lot more subscribers and return viewers if you just focused on speaking fluently. Maybe English isn't your native language and reading you script is mentally taxing; in that case I would suggest speaking freely and addressing bullet points on a list rather than reading directly from a script. I've subscribed to your channel and will check out your other Arknights content and truly wish you the best. I only took the time to address my personal gripes with your content because I believe you have what it takes to be a great and popular content creator.

Got Apple Pie off the 6 star guaranteed. Didnt even have the itch to roll after that. Havent felt that fullfilled playing a gacha game in awhile.

Each sanity potion gives 60. So 30 x 60 = 1800 not 3600. Nevermind, I saw that you mentioned that in the video description.

While the originate does provide a lot of uses, the use of grinding LMD takes your sanity just like that. So I think having an 80000 LMD boost is great

Hey man just a question, will the game ever give some materials for us to summon in the banner more? I already used 4 tenfold summons and it looks impossible to gather up more
You get around 5 summons every week. You get those through your dailies, weeklies, and annihilation.
Stop doing 10 summons. Only do singles on banners that guarantee a 5 or 6 star. Once you get a 5 or 6 quit rolling. You'll potentially save a ton of orumdum for future polls. Use head hunting permits to your advantage as well. Save em up for single rolls to save even more orumdum. You'll start getting tons of orumdum per week once you can clear annihilation, dailies, and weeklies.
Question. Is it ok to buy texas now or should I wait for lappland(if she shows up after reset) in the certificate shop?
If feel you won't have enough tickets to buy both, save for lapp. Do keep in mind you've got around three weeks to accumulate the gold certs back tho.

It's a bad idea but realistically the packs are limited. It's not like you can afford to get 3 levels when the banner with your waifu is ending tomorrow. I don't mind converting over 50 originate just to get enough for the rolls. I would rather have my favourite unit than some rocks I would be too scared to ever spend

Honestly, that's up to you to decide, at lvl 40 it does start to get pricey. Do keep in mind Originite is very limited soooo....

The video I linked is just an example, but that mentality is everywhere nowadays, especially in the mobile market.
I'm not saying that those behind Arknights are predatorial in their business tactics, but to say that we are seen as "supporters" and that they don't make sure to market their games to fully "exploit" whales, is very naïve.
Almost(I don't like dealing in absolutes) everything that is put out there on the market is made for profit, and to make as much profit as possible. Some are scummier, some go way over the line, and some are more honest(like in Arknights case, at least for now), but don't ever think that companies are your friends.

The number of friend credits you can eventually get daily makes buying out most things you need in that particular shop pretty easy. Some days you'll have way over 300 credits so maxing out both Courier and Gavial are not a big deal (I haven't had a need to use Courier a lot since I have a lot of vanguards, but maxed him out anyway).
Just work on getting a full friend list, work to max the ambiance in your dorms, exchange clues, and use someone's support once daily (I go back and run a low sanity challenge mode in the main story once daily with a friends unit - it also nets me one Originite Prime). Doing any of the above will help increase the friend credits you get daily.
Oh, and I skip buying Expedited Plans even if they're on sale since once you get 4 slots in the recruitment thing you probably won't be able to get enough Recruitment Permits to keep constantly using the recruitment feature so frequently.

Great video, just want to give some constructive criticism and my personal experience with your video style. Please don't take offense to this. Your cadence is incredibly irritating and personally makes me anxious feeling like i'm forcibly grabbing every small phrase from you to attempt to create a flowing sentence. Your script is fine, but you really need to work on the delivery. Even at 1.5 speed I couldn't finish the video because of how slow you speak and pause after every couple words. Honestly I haven't seen any of your other videos so maybe you only spoke this way because you were unfamiliar with the game and had to double check that you're using the correct terminology for every currency and I could understand that. The video could have been half the length and I'm positive you would receive a lot more subscribers and return viewers if you just focused on speaking fluently. Maybe English isn't your native language and reading you script is mentally taxing; in that case I would suggest speaking freely and addressing bullet points on a list rather than reading directly from a script. I've subscribed to your channel and will check out your other Arknights content and truly wish you the best. I only took the time to address my personal gripes with your content because I believe you have what it takes to be a great and popular content creator.
