Ok...hear me out: I first read Wolf Hall in 2018 (according to Goodreads) and it took me at least 4 attempts before I could get into it. At that time, I knew little-to-nothing about the Tudors, except of course, the obvious. It took me a bit to get the "flow" of Hilary Mantel's writing but once I _got it,_ I was all in! I have re-read it at least twice and I'm happy to read it with you, if you like (if not, I get that, too). 🤓 That's quite a stack! 📚 😉
@Lu.G. That is encouraging and I would definitely be up for the buddy read! It might be what gets me over the hump of the first 50 pages. Second half of the year?
Pillars of the Earth is one of my all time favorites. I haven't read it in many years. I would like to think I would still feel the same. I have other books by him but scared I won't love them lol so I just look at them ...😂
🎉
I agree looking up books for this challenge has been fun. 😀
Happy NEW Year. 🥳 I read many Victoria Holt back in the day...loved her.
@@Veronica.Roni.V Happy New Year!! 🍾🍾💝 I am looking forward to reading her once again. 🤗
I always wanted to try John Jake's. Good reminder for me. 😊
@@Veronica.Roni.V I absolutely LOVED his North and South series. I am looking forward to the Kent series. You will enjoy his writing style.
One book per year is fun! I may try that in 2026. Although 33 years isn't too many.😊
@@paperbacksandponytails it is an interesting challenge

@@Veronica.Roni.V LOL. I think all readers have books they just stare at and never read. I am determined, SOMEHOW, to start the Pillars series.
Look forward to your input as always. 😊@@protagonistspub
