Thanks for all your video’s, they’ve helped me do complete Seal change, huma reg fitment, light weight hammer and new spring, trigger polish and stainless pellet probe change, made the world of difference to my r10. 👍
Well, you've managed to better the shot count and overall performance of your .177 compared with my old .22, which was tuned by a well known tuner. Awesome results once again Jake 👏
Great video Jeff! It believes belief that a company like bsa would allow so many design faults to pass their quality control. For example a chromium pellet probe! Any engineer knows chromo starts to peel after😢 a few years! Another I read the rifleing stopped short of the muzzle by about 5 mm. Again the muzzle is the most critical for the barrel accuracy! Jeff had to shorten the barrel and crown the muzzle! I have shot bsa rifles since the late 50’s and never had any manufactured faults like that! I fear that takeover by Gamo might be something to do with the poor quality control! Another gripe I have is with Air Arms! I have a AA S400 (.177) for 7 years which has been pretty accurate for target work! I thought I would give it a service only to find anti tampering all over it! Thanks to Jeff I was able to get rid of all this nonsense! A local rfd told me it was illegal to remove it! I found out through a lawyer that this is absolute tripe! As long as the gun is sub 12 ft/lb it is within the law! I set mine to 11.5ft/lb with the heaviest pellet I could find and put a touch of thread lock inside the adjustment screw! I have saved myself several hundreds of £’s in freight and gunsmiths fee’s! What in the hell is companies like AA bsa etc playing at! I suspect it boils down to greed and money! After all you could buy a powerful sports car that could do 150 mph but you still have to obey the speed limits!
I bought a stainless steel pellet probe from a good supplier. I had to polish the rear section with 2000 grit wet and dry followed by Autosol metal polish to give it a mirror shine. Without this, it felt unpleasant in the gun due to the very fine machining marks acting as serrations in the delrin shuttle. It would have worn the delrin in no time whereas now it feels smooth like a new chrome one
yet again another great informative video boys and massive help to others as always as not many top tuners share there work👏 I have two mk1 r10’s one in .177 and another in .22 both silly accurate and both running nr identical spec to yours 😉
my first se R10 did 150 shots but my second one does only 120 on a good day but still love it Did try 500cc bottle from best fit on my first r10 but i think i need a Huma reg with it keep up good video
Cheers, they do well with the better bottles I think it may just come down to how well the rifle is setup from the factory, they seem to be a bit hit or miss. Thanks for watching.
The R12 is supposed to be better suited to sub 12 boasting a higher shot count and a better set up, but I have not had the chance to look at one yet so I don't know for sure. Thanks for watching.
Got the parts from apex airguns, very simple process to follow and my R10 feels so much better and quieter now. The trigger took a bit of resetting and the new spring made it fire very hot before adjusting it
I have the .22 super carbine and got 200 shots from the standard 200cc bottle charged to 230bar. I have had the rifle converted to an Airtech Rifles stage 2 rifle. I was getting 220+ shots. I have now added a 300cc carbon (300 bar) and can fill to 250bar (upgraded internals) and get 350 shots. I charge to 200 bar and get a couple of hundred shots before I stop shooting with plenty in the tank (wink wink)
Its on the list we do hope to get one in the near future, the delta wolf was a fantastically built rifle and I have no doubt that the ghost will be as well, as its the same rifle just mechanical instead of electrical. Thanks for watching.
@@sub12airgunners I’m particularly interested in the new valve system because I’m only getting 110 shots from my fx dreamline 300 cc bottle brk ghost claims 300+… on there 300cc bottle which would suit me fine it means I can be on the gun range for 3 hrs instead of one hour before I have to take the gun to the gun shop and fill up plus it’s lothar walther barrel … anyway we’ll see thanks .

I started out with a HW95 then 98. Soon had a go at a spring and top hat and sleeve swap. Then bought a HW100 had issues sold that and got a bsa r10 mk2, got the urge to tinker so had a go at fitting a Huma reg and stainless prove following this vid and others, it was very easy
Have you ever done a super 10 mk3 tuning video?. Have an old one in good condition I've had serviced but is still under power. About 8. 5 ft pounds. Any idea for the best way to bring this up to 11 ish. Also have the R10 and Ghost and have watched right through those. Great info in them, Thanks
I think Bestfittings make an adapter for the carbon bottles that replaces the FX one, although you need to modify the stock to make it work. Thanks for watching.
Can you tell me where the video is you mention with the previous changes like the barrel, ive been through the videos on your channel but not found anything
Hi Geoff, thanks for another great video. I have one of your hammer, hammer spring and stainless pellet probe kits fitted to one of my R10s but would like two more complete kits if possible. Will you be selling these parts again? Thanks, Andy.
Possibly, I have some hammers made and am just working through the pellet probes, but the springs are proving hard to get so we wont be selling the springs, although if all goes well the probes/ hammers should be on ebay by the end of the week. Thanks for watching
@@sub12airgunners Definitley the hammer tube , havent gone any further need to find a competent gunsmith that knows these things .and here in aussie they are as scarce as hens teeth 😒
Hi Great Vid! I have a question, how much is your service for bsa r10 mk2 in .22 full retune and upgrade I like the idea of a stainless probe as I do pest control in all weathers and anything that prevents rusting is a bonus for me.
HI just wanted to leave a comment about your videos, I am new to the sport , I started off with a Gamo Phox awesome little starter riffle and just purchased the R10 SE from guntrader private sale, the pressure was low when it arrived, so you guessed it was loosing pressure, So getting to the point, I was able strip the gun replace all the seals and fit a new huma reg I purchased a fx crono to set the hammer good job because it was pretty high. So a huge thank you, This is all because of your videos, they are awesome. do I need to be aware of anything with the huma going forward ? I wanted to do the trigger also but I read you cannot get the springs, if this changes will you do a video to let folk know ? thanks again Paul
Ah. My bolt action part won't lift up to pull back, I think my pellet probe is bent. Trying to strip it now but mine is slightly different to this even though it's an SE. Beneath the screw on the rail there's no hole for the alan key and beneath on the trigger action there's a cap right beneath the bottom of the safety catch when in fire mode
Thanks for all your video’s, they’ve helped me do complete Seal change, huma reg fitment, light weight hammer and new spring, trigger polish and stainless pellet probe change, made the world of difference to my r10. 👍
Glad to help
Great video! Enjoy watching them, always interesting and easy to watch. Keep it up!!!!😀😀
Thanks much appreciated

Is it advisable to Loctite the grub screw where the trigger weight spring is?
Hi geof which sub 12 rifle out of the box is the best made, and doesnt need tuning .like the bsa does.thanks geoff
