This is one of my favorite dance scenes with Fred and Ginger. His easy style and grace really shines through and Ginger has something of a graceful swagger, which she wields masterfully. I think Fred Astaire worked so well with his partners was because for many years from a very young age he worked with his sister, who was older than him and reckoned originally to be the more talented, so that he was really schooled in dancing with a female partner and showing her off, not just himself.
