That was very helpful bcuz the instructions on my kitten harness Said that the D-ring was supposed to be closer to the read end of the cat. And that just didn't seem right. So thank you!! This will save me from surely getting frustrated and also stressing my kittens unnecessarily!
This was very informative thank you! I first introduced my cat to the collar. She took it well, but I'm having trouble figuring out the right fit. Any advice? Then I introduced her to the harness. A can of tuna helped. She either walks a bit, very slowly and very low, or just stays glued to the floor. I'm hopeful though. I'll keep trying with food.

Great video! I have never really thought a harness could be helpful for cat restraint - but I can definitely see how it could be a good tool for those kitties preferring a more “hands off” approach.
Thank you for your video. I put vest like harness on my 4 months old cat but he flaps on a side and lays and if he gets up he walks really slow and then flaps on a side again, will it get better?
yes- do not feed him. Then use his meal as you put the harness on and toss food like a game for him to move around and pounce on with the harness on. This will get him accustomed to it.
Thank you! This is the most helpful video I’ve watched on cat harnesses. I just adopted (or he adopted me) a friendly stray kitten about 8 to 10 months old. I’m taking him in for his first vet visit next week and I am new to all of this. He’s a wonderful little guy and I am hoping to take him traveling with us in our truck camper. It’s going to be entertaining 😹! I took him out for his maiden voyage trip in our big diesel truck today. He did great! He likes to look out the windows though so I’m not sure how to get him high enough to see out without me holding him all of the time and still keep him safe. He does well in his carrier for short transfers to the truck but doesn’t like being in enclosed spaces/boxes or cat beds. I thought most cats liked curling up in boxes! Not my little guy! ❤️
Hi Doc! New subscriber here! I'm in a shelter which is a small and bleek room.. TG my Dizzy is with me , super smart 8 year old blue tuxedo. 💙 ! His happiness is my main objective . GREAT VIDEO! I was so happy to get the harness l tried to skip the steps...it went WELLLL! But now he resists...if he could only realize he would LOVE outside...we used to have a yard. Now he rejects it outright! I guess we w start over. Yours was great video. I don't want him to be left alone with " roomates". I am thinking of a stroller?!. You will be a good addition to our lives. THANK YOU !
Doctor doesn't have a cat that minds being inconvenienced. I have a big fradycat. Doesn't like change. Im older dont have much energy to expel What next?
Was hoping to see exactly how the harness is supposed to go on the cat. Please remake this video to be shorter with a different colored harness so one can see it's orientation on the cat. Too many minutes wasted.

follow the steps and have him keep his harness on. It is better for him to explore on a harness and leash than in the stroller. Good Luck

true- it was the only harness I had to use.
