11:26 That is the bottom half of a beach umbrella. The hook part actually tightens the top half at the height you desire. The pointed end goes in the sand. I’m a beach bum so I know. I own several umbrellas but I stay in the sun. Keep them for my dogs when I take them to the beach. I drive my truck on Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland and Virginia.
What a great find! It sucks that your footage got corrupted but its so cool that you got to pull that Item. You might want to look around youtube and see if there are any restorers who might want to partner with you to make a video on restoring old guns. Collabs are awesome
That is the best EVERRRRRRRR. I bet Alex is bummed he had to go before you got this !!😊. Can’t wait to see the lock get restored as well as this rifle. 😊
As some have said definitely a Mauser Gewehr 98, check out the hole in the stock, that’s a clincher 👍 you’re doing an amazing job cleaning up your local rivers AND making fun, informative videos, well done on this and all your videos Tyler, so much fun
What you have there my friend, is an old military rifle. Possibly a German Mauser. The bolt handle is really straight, it may be as early as WWI. I would be very careful getting the rust off. You by no means have a million dollar rifle, but it could be pretty damned old. Good luck my friend!
Of course, everyone's talking about the find of a lifetime. But I want to say how much I appreciate how you hate the spiders that hang over the water. They just totally freak me out. Especially when you get the web across the face. eeeeeek! Love your videos.
Great job Tyler!!!! So thankful you had what footage you do have!!! I love the idea of hanging it up as is!! Its so cool!!! Thanks again for letting us go with you!!😊😊 I bet Owen thought it was too cool!!😁😁
I'm not a great expert on rifles, also because I've never found any with my magnet. However, a friend of mine told me that from the shape it looks like a Mauser Gewehr 98. 😉
Yes I would try to clean it up. It will look a lot cooler cleaned up hanging on your wall. Maybe you can dedicate one big room in your new farm house for all your cool and Awesome finds like that dude.
When I was a kid, someone we knew passed away and they had a lot of rifles. In the day, no one wanted them, police were not interested either. My mother tried to think of a way to get rid of them so that no one would be harmed and she told my brother to go dump them in the local creek.
Hi Tyler. I was trying to guess what type rifle that is. My hubby has been interested in old rifles like that for a while. Might I suggest and agree with others here, just clean it and hang it on the wall. Myself even if restored I would be fearful of firing it. If you want a gun that bad buy one, at a gun show. One of those metal rings had a latch on the end. I can't help wondering if it was a slave collar. If so that would be worth a good amount. Great finds. I love when you and Alex are together, you both play well off each other!!
Is that the same river you found the bayonet? Maybe they belong together? You might try calling a museum and ask them to direct you to a restorer of antique guns? Whatever you decide to do with it, enjoy it and the memory of fishing it out of the water! So happy you share your fun with us all!
Great find! Don't know if the wood will deteriorate faster being pulled out of the water and left to dry out. Good luck with your find, hope it can be restored. 👍👍
Hello from upstate NY. Nice finds guys, I noticed one thing you thought might be a fork from a forklift... I think that might be a tine from a hay rake you'd pull with a tractor
Seeing the amount of zebra muscles you've been pulling up, makes a show I was on TV makes more sense. They were training dogs to sniff out zebra muscles (even a single one on a boat). That way some water ways in America won't get them... your boat would fail the checkpoint with those sniffer dogs 😅
You should have a second camara roiling on the deck, just in case, your main camera stops working. That way you have a backup to your video and don't miss anything.
The round thing on the front of that old gun is the front site, not for a ban app. Also, if you do decide to restore it, please be very careful. It looks like it might be a world war two gun possibly british
Okay I think I told you this before but that's a bud wrench that goes for Dooley's on the truck the hexagon side does your usual lug nuts and then when you take the outer rim off you take the flip it over and use the square side to take off the lug nuts on the inner Dually wheel you put a big bar through the small little hole for a breaker bar and that's how you take the lug nuts off
hi guy when you two are together it's like watching the most funny in their time laurel and hardy really made my Friday evening great fun to watch the 2 round things you got at the beginning were oil seals for hgv wheels and watch wat your mates doing with toilet ipe and your mates penny thar thing bike keep the vids coming thanks.steven
Well, Tyler, I woke up early, fired up the ipad and who do I enjoy my morning coffee with but, The Fisher and Alex. What are we going to find today, you guys? Can't wait for the big surprise....
Awesome finds fella ....... especially the rifle! That lock is equally as awesome, hope to see it on your Restoration channel. Thanks for sharing dude.
Awesome video 😊. I think you should keep the gun the way it is. I think it looks cool 😎. Thank you for sharing. Please remember to have fun and stay safe. Thank you for cleaning up the water 😊 . Can't wait to see what treasures you find next.😊
Congratulations on such an amazing find. What a bummer about losing all that footage. Bet Alex is well annoyed he left. Maybe clean the surface dirt off but leave it as it is. Maybe get a display case for it. Hows the work on the house coming BTW ?
Plastic strip is a protective cover for asphalt house shingles, it protects the tar strip on the back of each shingle strip for the sticky part that as the sun heats it up, it causes the shingle to seal down..Cetainteed is a brand of shingles.
Great find Mr Fisher I have seen people keep finds like that preserve their finds in the water they find it in so the wood doesn't dry out. 😉 🙏🇦🇺 love it
Just watched ur gun video and ur right it's a bolt action up to 60 years old and not sure the restoration wouldn't hurt it value would have it looked at first
Looks like an M 1 garand from world war 2 if it wer me I would take a light bristle brush a bucket of warm water and just lightly brush it down, careful not to take too much wood off of it. Then when you have the dirt off hose down with the hose or rinse it in the shower. Blot it dry first if you want with a towel, then let air dry. Then when its dry lighty coat the metal barrel and slide and other metal exposed parts with like Rem oil or even 3in1 oil will work to. Cheers. Nice finds. Out.😊
You put one end on the lug nut and a sturdy steel rod through the hole on the other end. I grew up around trucks and have used one of those myself many times. Unless its broken on one end the one you pulled out just needs cleaned up and it'll still be good to use. It's a hunk of steel there's not much that can go wrong it
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
What is Owen username on snake game
The plastic bar thing you found with the flappy bit you called it, it's from an umbrella parasol
Take it to a gun shop that has a gunsmith and they will tell you if it’s worth fixing.
Thank you for sharing!
German Mauser? Looks like to me. Kar98k
I got a magnet fishing kit for Christmas, and I took it out on a pier. I caught a fishing bell, a ball bearing, and a couple bottle caps.
Here watching 👀 😎..Lots of funky stuff awesome. Dude that's awesome. Wall hanger..

What a great find! It sucks that your footage got corrupted but its so cool that you got to pull that Item. You might want to look around youtube and see if there are any restorers who might want to partner with you to make a video on restoring old guns. Collabs are awesome
Wow. That gun is a fantastic find! Sorry you didn't have the footage though. I bet you were beyond excited!
The rifle is a MAUSER KAR. 98K. It was the standard rifle of German army in WWII.
Glad someone knows (I was actually thinking Civil War era).
Just confirmed this as well. It was the groove in the stock that clicked in for me! AWESOME find! :O
Ahhhh. Kar 98 also. Good looks.

@ 11:28 to me that pole looks like a deck umbrella for a back yard table !

Parasol pole catch allows pole to slid down.
amazing video keep up the good work!
Get a gunsmith to inspect it and they'll probably tell you if it's be able to be saved.
Wringer washers generally had large copper tubs, so there is your answer, copper gets you top dollars for scrap.
Plastic strip is a protective cover for asphalt house shingles, it protects the tar strip on the back of each shingle strip for the sticky part that as the sun heats it up, it causes the shingle to seal down..Cetainteed is a brand of shingles.
Thanks for another great video. That is sooo cool and your eyes are gorgeous ❤
Great finding having to much fun 😊
Can you cycle the bolt or pull the trigger or is it rusted in place
That sucker is rusted right tight!
Looks like a Russian m44 nagant, or German Mauser.

What a find!!! New channel idea for you - take a pressure washer and blast off those clams for a oddly satisfying video
18:19 is a bike rack

At around 6:40 that's a lug wrench for semi truck tires
