I’m 60 years young and some of the stuff you’ve pulled out of these rivers I’ve seen before. But some of it ( duh )not a clue. It’s some fun way to go back in time. Called a junction box that’s used to move wires.
You should do a little old fashioned researching at the Library and copy some 1900's maps of your area to locate where factories were located on the rivers and where really old bridges used to be but are no longer there.
Shakespeare fishing rods were made in Kalamazoo Michigan. In 1896 William Shakespeare Jr wanted to improve on existing fishing reels so he came up with a device for winding fishing line evenly back on the spool. He patented the level-wind reel and his new design was superior to anything on the market. The Shakespeare Ugly Stik GX2 is great for anyone getting into freshwater fishing. The value and durability for the price are unbeatable.
@ 14:17, what looks like twisted metal, kinda like someone twisted old metal coat hangers together, could possibly be an old antique rug beater. (Before wall to wall carpeting and vacuums, people had throw rugs, they'd take them.out to the clothesline and literally beat them with...well..rug beaters. I know, because my great grandma made me do this chore when I was a kid. Great way to get your frustrations out! 🤣, they're worth money.
Three of their items were parts of old door locks. The old house which I grew up in had a huge iron lock and the key was about 4-5 inches long!!!! The door bell was round and fit flush to the middle of the front door. You turned the key in the middle of it and it rang! (Wish I had those now.) the light switches were all push buttons.
That's a heavy load!! You guys built a wall between you lol. I remember well the day u went in for your magnet. I recall one step took you under and if I remember correctly all you said as u hurried out was " nope nope nope.nope nope" lol I think it was still pretty cold and there was still some ice along the shore line. Certainly a memorable trip lol. Thanks for another great day on the water!! Being laid up with this broken leg is havoc on my mental health and your videos help so much!!
Good one Tyler and Alex. Interesting things along the concrete wall. I saw your video where you nearly drowned. If I remember correctly it was winter and very cold. Don't do that again.😆
Like always, a ton of bicycles. Like you said, probably stolen and thrown into river. Seen those Logging Hooks on your channel before, at least similar to that one. They still make those single egg pans, I have at least one in the kitchen. 2 person saw, nice. 1950's or 1960's wheelbarrow, have a Barn Find of one so I know that is what it is. Rather old Door Latch/locks y'all keep finding. So nice watching what y'all pull up, love your videos.
26:15 goes to an old stove. We used to have a cream and green Alcazar gas stove with one of those on the side of it. (Spoon rest is what we used it for) Comes off for easy cleaning.
5:57 That is another type of Log Pike that the Log Pusher’s would use to move and sort logs when they were floating logs down the river to the saw mill.
Back in the late 1960's and 70's kids would build wooden rafts to take rides on. Sometimes they would take their bikes and skateboards with them as they had no where to store them. Then a big boat would come by and swamp the raft and send the bikes overboard.
Correction, It is not a piston head, Just Piston, 21:39 belt mounted key chain reel like janitors use. I think all of those cast iron pieces are from an old coal or oil stove.
Pretty sure the thing with the star is a mortise door latch for old timey door knobs. The door knob would have a threaded "stick" that slides into that square hole on the box with the star, then the other knob would screw onto the other side to the door's width/thickness. Some Baldwin locks made today are similar.
Awesome video!!!! You found some really things 🙂. Thank you for sharing all your treasures with us 😊 can't wait to see what you have for us next time 😊. Please remember to have fun and stay safe 🙂
You also have to remember that when there's been spring thaws. That there's been ice jams & heavy down pouring storms water levels can over the shorelines or banks. Can you imagine the water pressure that lifts stuff off the bottom & deposits on the banks of the river. Then when there is severe flooding that will lift stuff out of yards & carry stuff miles & miles of river.
You and Alex both found "external" door latches. The one you found appears to also have a lock on it. We used to have that type of latch on a few of our doors. If you can clean them up and make them work, they're probably worth a bit of cash.
Excellent finds today Tyler, and Alex. You got so much that you almost couldn't move in the boat. You should go back there. How is the farm coming along? Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
@@TheFisher That's great to hear. It looks like a beautiful property, just needing some fixing. I love old farms. I bet Owen is loving it there. Talk with you soon my friend 🙂⚘️.
You and alex are pulling apart an old wood stove. The leg, the grill, the flaps that hold pans. The squares are antique door locks. They use skeletal keys. Yes, come back!
I sure hope that Alex is being attention. How are you are judging which lures are the best to keep because there’s been a time. I noticed Alex just throwing lures out without really checking them out. I think I mentioned this once before Tyler you were the one with the most knowledge when it comes to fishing and lures, I hate to see Alex throwing good lures out again.❤ I’m still waiting to see a shovel. Ha, ha, ha ha, ha, 🤣ha, ha, ha there hasn’t been one yet Tyler good luck both you.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
The little book like pieces are old mortise locks for dpors. The entire piece would be mortised intobthe door. Some of then were quite ornate even if they were never seen.
I love your channel. I wonder if the stuff you find might have traveled down the river due to freezing and thawing of the shorelines? I bet it could travel miles over years of freezing and thawing, delivering shoreline goodies way down river.
The hook tool is probably a logging tool along with the huge saw blade. I love the door plates and the scroll iron piece. I do remember those videos for back in the day. What a load you guys caught. Loved the video😊
A lot of what you guys find may have entered the water 20 miles upstream from where you are finding it. Always realize the power of water as in a fast moving river, flood waters when in water is high after a heavy rain or storm. If floods can move cars, trucks, then, those bikes and such were no match to just being in one place back in the day. Wild current, submerged logs, trees can quickly move tons of debris.
Awesome day fishing! And, Alex was along today, too. It's always fun to watch you both fishing and the things you guys come up with to say is really funny.
Here's an alternate explanation to other comments, for the 'one-egg pan'. It could have been used to melt chunks of lead, and then the melted lead poured into molds to make fishing sinkers. My dad used to do that. Its thickness and its cast-iron metal suggests that usage, more than it suggests cooking eggs or baking cookies, which likely would be thinner metal. Just a guess based on the old days.
the one that he fished up with an iron hook and the other side is a thick wooden stick, it must be 1 meter and 50 center meters long and with it you could pull your rowing boat in with it in the old days, so you pulled with that thing and attached the iron hook in the edge of the rowing boat and pulled his rowing boat in to the edge
Another great video. I sure look forward to these videos. Would love to see your collection of treasures at you home. Maybe you could open up an antique store with all your finds.
This one-egg pan is actually a butter pan. You melt butter in it and then pour it over fish or potatoes. 😄The book looking part with the door latch is an old box lock. The square hole in it is for attaching the knobs or handles from both sides of the door.
That little cast iron pan can be purchased today around the holidays in most Walmart stores, K-Mart, etc. They come now with a cookie mix so that you can bake a single-servicing cookie for yourself. I have bought two of them in the past. The cookies aren't all that to write home about, but you still have a small cast iron pan for single service eggs!!
I think the book looking thing is a very old lever lock. You don't see them used anymore in the US but a lot of overseas countries still use them. They are actually pretty secure today not because they are not easy to pick but because there are few people who know how to pick them and it takes special tools to do so.
small pans like than, could be used to melt lead as old time calk. The square piece that Alex has is an old door lock, and the square old is for the door knob (Not a key hole). I have some in my house. Taken apart and cleaned up, could dell, but probably not worth effort. A lot of those case iron plates (with hooks) are probably off an old stove.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️ should we come back to this spot?! 🤔
Yes
YES!!!
Hi Marie and Glen and everyone. Look forward to a good show as it alway is. ❤
Most definitely 😂

The cast iron thing you call a mini fry pan is actually an item you hang in your kitchen . 💛💜🥰

An antique SARGENT {star} mortise lock. If it were complete, it would sell for $40-50. Good find.
Can you do a behind the scenes short video about yourself, giving us your fans the whole scoop about the why you like magnet fishing?
Absolutely mental the amount of stuff coming from there. Definitely worth more visits in the future
The cast-iron pieces are parts of an old wood-burning stove, I believe.
Watch a catch pun intended. I always love watching you and Alex. Say hi to Owen. 🧲🎣
The items you thought were part of an old end table are actually parts of an antique wood burning stove. They have the decorative legs and grills.
The wire around another wire is part of a box springs or matress😂. The edge you sit on.
Most definitely! Love you guys!

It's possible that leg piece came of a cast iron stove. Man awesome finds!
I thought that leg might be from a old ottoman.
LOL I do agree with that comment it could have been that old stove @@sherrilyons193
Hey Tyler that thing you you found is a fishing leader which can be used to go saltwater fishing
Good one Tyler and Alex. Interesting things along the concrete wall. I saw your video where you nearly drowned. If I remember correctly it was winter and very cold.

21:43 the container looks like a bike bell to me 😊
Heck yeah bro!

Parts of an old iron stove, amazing to see what you find.😲
5:57 That is another type of Log Pike that the Log Pusher’s would use to move and sort logs when they were floating logs down the river to the saw mill.
Alex , you should clean those two boxes up..think you have something there. The little round box that fisher found looks like a tape measure.
Back in the late 1960's and 70's kids would build wooden rafts to take rides on. Sometimes they would take their bikes and skateboards with them as they had no where to store them. Then a big boat would come by and swamp the raft and send the bikes overboard.
I love your videos and because of you i started magnet fishing in finland love you ❤❤❤❤
Good finds! That with a key hole is part of an old rim lock for a door.
The "cup" is a crayfish condo. Lol
Correction, It is not a piston head, Just Piston, 21:39 belt mounted key chain reel like janitors use. I think all of those cast iron pieces are from an old coal or oil stove.

Omg that looks like an old cast iron stove 😳🤯😍🥰

The fishing device is a crappie jigs where you have 3-4 hooks hanging off it so it doesn’t get twisted up or tangled! Wow you guys super scored today!
Caught the dew in the end! Cheers!
You and Alex both found "external" door latches. The one you found appears to also have a lock on it. We used to have that type of latch on a few of our doors. If you can clean them up and make them work, they're probably worth a bit of cash.
Was waiting to see some of my lures I lost over by the kayak launch lol Great vid as always!
Love watching you guys working together again what is the white stuff on top of the water is it snow
Excellent finds today Tyler, and Alex. You got so much that you almost couldn't move in the boat. You should go back there. How is the farm coming along? Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
It’s coming along great! I will give an update sooner or later ❤️ thank you so much for watching 😊

Nice video! That strange Crankbait at 23:28 is a Rapala Scatter Rap Husky Jerk. Rare!
You are literally the craziest and most exciting TH-camr to watch.

Absolutely!! Keep coming back. I'm just waiting til you decide to get your scuba diving certification.
the item you found at 21:29 is a old bike bell from the 50's
I love your and Alex’s videos. Make me laugh.keep them comin’
A great day for y'all...love you and Alex.❤
16:08 That little pan is probably part of a single cookie batter mix and pan set, usually see those around Christmas time.
My goodness Tyler! What a haul. You take so much out of these small patches of the rivers. Just think of all the treasures left unfound😮❤
I wonder all the time what’s non magnetic that my magnet is just sliding right past! Thank you for watching ❤️
I’ll bet those are parts of a Double Star wood burning parlor stove.
Mini frying pan is from antique cast iron "Queen" toy stove set. Then later on you start pulling out a full size real cast iron stove/oven. Amazing!
AWESOME VIDEO!!😊
The little book like pieces are old mortise locks for dpors. The entire piece would be mortised intobthe door. Some of then were quite ornate even if they were never seen.
I love this TH-cam channel there suspense and good suspense of what he’s got a find
❤️
Dudes!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯 Incredible relics, guys, mind-blowing!!!!!!! Thank you, Tyler & Alex💖💖
The thing you found around 21:28 looks like a small tape measure. My grandfather had one just like it.
You guys are gonna need a 2nd truck and a barge to tow behind your boat to carry all the stuff you're pulling up.
You're going to need a bigger boat!!😀😀😀
Ya, I think he needs to charter a boat and have tours for magnet fishing.
Hi Taylor
That one tool that had a threaded bolt in it is a flywheel puller that screws into the flywheel to pop it off. Cheers! 🎉
I believe your little round container with a table on it is a tape measure
Some great and big finds lots of weight hope u get some good money for it all gl
I love your channel. I wonder if the stuff you find might have traveled down the river due to freezing and thawing of the shorelines? I bet it could travel miles over years of freezing and thawing, delivering shoreline goodies way down river.
Maybe that iron leg was from a pot bellied wood stove?
A bunch of these heavy cast iron things like the leg and grate and decorative things are parts of a cast iron stove - a wood or coal stove likely.
The hook tool is probably a logging tool along with the huge saw blade. I love the door plates and the scroll iron piece. I do remember those videos for back in the day. What a load you guys caught. Loved the video😊
Door plates are absolutely gorgeous! I hope Tyler restores them. ❤
1:42 - possibly a vertical railing brace attached to angle iron on railway decking.
You guys definitely have to go back. So much cool stuff!
Thank you for another great video. I'll be waiting for the next!
Wow...nice haul guys!
Thanks for sharing! Yes you should go back 🎣 Have a great weekend!

My mother had one about that size. It sat over a small frame and she used it for melting butter
Star brand door hardware
Cookies without the lead please.
Lol my uncle had an ashtray that was a cast iron skillet...
LOL those were used back then . Thanks For this note?
the one that he fished up with an iron hook and the other side is a thick wooden stick, it must be 1 meter and 50 center meters long and with it you could pull your rowing boat in with it in the old days, so you pulled with that thing and attached the iron hook in the edge of the rowing boat and pulled his rowing boat in to the edge

Chris Farley had his lunch down by the river😂

Yes, i think it may be a rim lock
Old door locks

I think that boat is perfect for you. Because it's called the fishermen.
This was a great haul. I would for sure come back to this spot. Love your vids Tyler. Better than Netflix.
Around 9:15 it looks like the retaining wall is built out of RR ties = RR spike?
i love your videos, i think you going to need a bigger boat lol,, i also wanted a pontoon frame and weld a smoker and a recliner and fish for days
Love love love each and every video! ❤☮️
I am thinking around 14:45 maybe apart of a mattress spring / support.
Absolutely Jackpot! What a fun day for you two. Love watching your videos.
That tiny skillet is most likely an ash tray. I've seen them before back in the 70s on restaurant tables.
24:12 shinny peace well you can rig it with 4 hooks and bait for ice fishing style is ice fishing jigging strait up and down not dragging
Love you guys
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks 😎
“Coffee table leg could be a wood stove leg.
Those booklet looking pieces are door locks. They probably require a skelton key to lock and unlock. Looks like your maybe had a deadbolt part on it.
those boxes are mortise lock boxes but I have never seen any with designs on them
The square pieces you and Alex found look like old post office box doors.
Crazy amount of stuff and some really unique things. Great spot.
What a haul ya'll made. Absolutely crazy 🤪. That boat is so full😊
