God this soundtrack was amazing. Defiers of Fate, Saber's Edge, Archylte Steppe, Sunleth Waterscape, Blinded By Light, Feast of Betrayal, Test of the L'Cie....the list of great themes goes on and on.
First time I played the game I skipped a bunch of fights, so I had to grind at 9. I heard this song for hoursss on repeat. I still prefer blinded by light…
This song was so perfect for the scene when the Estheim Residence falls under siege. The game had a lot of issues but this song perfectly sums up what you're feeling at that point. You just came across one of the 0.1% of Cocoon's people who put their family ties above fear and paranoia and make a stand for their own son, ready to sacrifice EVERYTHING... and then Sanctum breaks in and starts trashing the place. On a side-point, I think Bartholomew might be the only FF13 character I actually like and respect. As I said before, he is willing to sacrifice everything for his son, and he has a lot to lose. He makes the conscious decision to harbor his fugitive son despite the fact that he could easily go from being an incredibly wealthy man to an exile, cast out to Gran Pulse down below, or get gunned down by Sanctum soldiers with no actual way to fight back against them. Knowing full well that the entire world around him automatically considers the Pulse l'Cie -- and anyone who associates with them -- universally hated. He's not even an l'Cie himself, in the end scheme of things he's powerless against those who would want to kill or hurt him, but he STILL shows his strength of character and is ready to stand against literally impossible odds. Step aside, Sazh, you owe Bartholomew your Fatherhood Badge. But anyway. You're like "Oh yeah?! Bring it on, you punks! I'll be damned if we're gonna let Bartholomew get caught in the crossfire here. Let's remind these guys just why Cocoon is afraid of l'Cie. Up close. And. Personal." Cue the perfect action scene, fighting and curbstomping the Sanctum forces in the dead of night, in pitch black, around the shattered glass from the ceiling when they rappelled into the house. Another reason why this game should have been an action movie instead!

This game is seriously underrated, it gets wayyy more hate than it deserves
This has always been so badass. The FF13 OST is just perfect for what they were going for
This song was played at several points throughout the game, But it played the most during chapter 9.

Looks like they're strolling through some CSI where ever lab. Surprised David Caruso's ugly mug isn't there putting sunglasses on.
