You know sometimes I wish Mass Effect was more graphic. We probably will never see a Volus out of their suit but if one had a suit puncture, we could see their true form. I don't know I'm curious about the Biology of the other races like Turians and Quarians etc. It'd be kinda funny or cool if they released an issue of Fornax to showcase all the races.

I feel Volus inclusion is inevitable in Andromeda. The structure of the galactic economy requires them. Also the presence of Turians pretty much confirms it for me.

It's sad that the Volus aren't on the Citadel Council. Considering their contribution to the galactic economy you would think they have as much of a right to be on the council as the Humans but are not on it.
I like the space jews. It shows how the psychology of a species affects their entire structure, from economics to political to military to personal. It's interesting to discuss the ethics of the lack of a volus council seat. The established races are essentially saying "Anyone that evolved with our similar psychology can join, while those that didn't are SOL." Same can be said for the hanar and elcor.

Batarians are more like Turkic/Mongolian nomads who plundered, worked as mercenaries. Their names even have some similarities with today Turkic and Mongolian names.
Don't think there are North Korean-like race in ME. Geth would be something like them, but not entirely.

I love playing multiplayer with my volus vanguard named Pinball. Equipped with a Talon pistol with power booster and extended barrel and his biotic charge his attack is also his greatest defense, bounce from one side of the battlefield to the other, if the enemy doesn't die from the charge a quick shot to the crotch will finish most off (or wish they were). Orbs work in a pinch and a shield boost to help keep your team alive, and invisibility... he's just too much fun.
Plus I've leads teams in kills with him!
I never minded the Volus. I wasn't a huge fan of them but they never annoyed me unlike some other races. And I liked how finances ruled their species and how they referred to me as Earth Clan all the time hehe. Sure bring em back.
I didn't think the Volus would appear in Andromeda but after learning of their Galactic accomplishments I think we might see them or the story includes a tension to their absence.
best fact: instead of close combat after pressing circle in multiplayer they get invisible for a short time and by holding it you generate something like a energy shield, which truly isnt very effective but looks fine:D
The shield does melee damage actually.

The energy shield can bounce dragoons from you, reduce geth prime seige pulse, and block banshee balls

Move beyond the physical Bioware/EA... Benevolent Ethereal beings that manifest on the pathfinders journey, they visit when it is quite to comfort the players character/give advice/ clues to new possibilities. They take the shape of beings in the environment but are made of light(this would make is very easy to animate.
What if the Volus aren't actually pudgy, it's just the bulk of their environment suits?

I always like playing the Volus vanguard that I named Pinball. Give him the Talon pistol and charge any grunt you see. If they live, they get a shot to the crotch.

It is the military participation that causes the problem. They have strong industry, but very small military and Citadel wants military support.
Can't see the Volus in Andromeda. I like them but don't think they're making the trip. I just don't think there's anymore story arc for them. Kind of like the Hanar. Given what we know at this point about ME:A don't expect them. Having said that, I'm still kind of iffy on how the arks are run. Cryo sleep but people still up and running the ship? Krogan but no Krogan ark... would not be surprised if we get a volus npc at some point. Would like that but don't expect anything more.

Biotic god knows importance of things: first you take a nap and then destroy the universe.
Most likely IF Reapers were defeated AND galactic society remained intact volus would have seat in new council. It would have seven permanents: asari, salarian, turian, human, krogan, quarian and volus and eight revolving seat going to batarians, elcor, vorcha and other lesser species in Citadel space.
