The snow certainly was lying thick in Kershope. Have fond memories walking the stage well before the cars came through. You could hear a pin drop. Think spectators were discouraged from going to Pundershaw or Shepherdshield - one of those. Good times - really enjoying these uploads.
That was great! I just discovered your channel about an hour ago and I will be watching a whole lot more of your videos later, but now I am going to sleep, because it is 2.36am 😄.
Thanks for sharing, loving this series. Was '88 a cold winter or signs of global warming....Admittedly I'm a Southerner but been 13c this week and they were rallying in ice in November!
6 former world champions in the top ten! When was the last time spectators were treated to that. A proper rally when a number of drivers could be the overall winner.
@@rallyimpact To be fair, they did this on a tight timescale, Woolers was a pro as were the rest of them, and they did an amazing job with half the people that modern tv folk use. Have to say Barrie Gill was not the best though, endless mistakes.
@@amphilbey haha indeed, kept it in line with the errors in the broadcast.....honestly 😆. Putting the errors aside, the programs were fantastic brings back the memories. I watched in lightwater valley and Dyfi that year.
second that music starts i get a chill down the spine, so many childhood memories
Definitely a goosebump moment for sure .
William Woolard Appreciation Society..Who's with me?

Wonder how many people, like me, forgot all about the Mazdas? Great memories. Thanks

Pentti Airikkala, the left foot braking academy master of class. 😁
Flushing an oily clutch with Cola is something I've seen before. Many rallycross teams to this day have a 6-pack ready for service near their toolbox.

Well william acknowledged his mistake in the earlier programme
And then said that kielder was in North Hampshire!
