Spoilers and I am going to go on a rant. I hate magical soul mates so much. Like I just find the idea that Slade is interested in her because she is fae, comes to love her because of her coming out of her shell and then coming into her power. All of that is far more interesting to me than the idea of fate. I am really a "love is a choice" kinda person and taking character choice out of it cheapens it to me. Also when it came to who Cull was, I wish Kennedy wrote it with some dramatic irony. Maybe in a Slade chapter he mentions the name Cull, so that we are readers know what Auren is getting into before she does. The way it was written as if Cull was going to be a shocking twist - was kind of insulting to the readers intelligence. Having sad ALL of that! God I loved this book, I thought the turnaround on the Cold Queen was fantastic, I loved that someone called her an entitled bitch. I loved Emonie, I loved Slades true villain era, I love how the Wrath are also seen as proper villains here. Oh and Auren going through her villain era in that last 20% fucking perfect! That cliffhanger though, I am not sure it should have been introduced so late in the game, unless it will be like her magic back in book 4.
