It was fun to watch his prep for this comp. He proved that he can move with weight. If he sticks with it he could dominate. Not to mention if he bulked up to 231.
I like this content man, there's a lot of similar technique analyses for powerlifting & weightlifting, but there's definitely a gap in the market for strongman
@@Micheldied I know, joe mentioned that he might want to train touch and go. And seen as he is in the uk doing comps there would be very little need to do them
He’ll do well….not sure if endurance won’t be a factor…strongman is not just fast twitch dominate in all events so ….he’ll dominate some events and get humbled in others….really depends on the event stack
Lol what happens on the field stays on the field ;) but yeah swearing takes away monetization and I try to keep a clean mouth unless I’m really trying to make a point!
@@SzatStrength hey no worries haha but yeah as a professional powerlifter he never learned how to hitch because it would have never counted in his sport
Competed against a few of those guys in the video at Jersey Clash. 90KG class is no joke!
That deadlift was crazy for reps and raw. Jeez
11.885
Super strong!! He’s a phenomenal deadlifter.
Just to give a slight update for his best lifts at 220 he now has done 385kg/782.6lbs, 272.5/600.7 with a total of 1030/2270.7
Great breakdown
Really enjoyed this vid brother, keep it up and thanks for what you do.

Nice I wanted to see some strongman opinions on this performance

I think why Haack did as well as he did is because he seems to be pretty conditioned for a powerlifter, not like some bloatlords in the sport
Lighter guys need to be conditioned and fast. That really can separate them in that weight class (on top of strength obviously)
Bloatlord.. lol love it
The super heavy weights are a very small percentage of powerlifting these days
I compete in both sports and dude ... more bloatlords and lard bags in strongman
He can hack it that's for sure
I see what you did there ;)
You very rarely see touch and go in deadlift in uk comps.
He nailed it though
That isn't touch and go though.

@@MellonVegan ok…that don’t surprise me…no one’s posting the cool down after the event…..If he’s got that then yes he’s a threat
Brick poop house hahaha. Keeping the content clean I can respect it.
I mean he does coach teenagers so he has to set a good example for the parents hahaha

Yo where my cicada bros at
😂
11.885 reps? I think I counted eleven almost twelve but yeah he's not used to hitching so that's why he didn't try it I'm sure
If I was wrong my bad! Either way super impressive. I hope he competes more!

Fiiiiiiiirstttt ..LETS GO!
🥇
Helllo friends!
👍
john haack is my spirit animal
Handful of technical fixes and who is there to beat him?
