Awesome advice. I actually worked some strongman variations for some of the gentlemen I work with. I adapted it to a linear progression 3x5 that one guy wanted to do and I did a strength lifting program with options for overhead movements. Awesome material and thank you for using those clips of me!
Hi Alan, great channel, you and your channel taught me great many things and helped me in many ways (mostly fitness and training wise, obviously :D ). Recently I started a program I found via your channel and moved from my garage gym to a commercial gym. The problem that I have is that the music in my gym irritates me and I am forced to use music from my phone. So I have one favor to ask you: Make an "Untamed Strength" radio or something that will play the music that is being played in your gym at the time so I can, in Europe, listen to the proper gym music (yes, over the phone, but maybe I can talk the owner of the gym to tune in/log in to "Untamed Strength" radio) . Thank you.
Also, I was waiting for your new update and I didn't receive the notification (watching this 2 days after the video was uploaded) and now I see that the bell icon was deactivated. I am certain I clicked the "all" notification on option, not the first time this happened to me, first time on your channel, just a heads up
This is not Candito 6 week program. That's his beginner linear program in which each week is the same and weight is added in linear fashion (similarly to starting strength and Texas method). In 6 weeks program every week is significantly different and weights are based on % of 1RM. It is aimed towards intermediate lifters (or post-novice if you prefer that nomenclature) and lead to a peak for a PL meet.
The linear program is not strictly for beginners. It progresses at the same rate as Texas Method, with makes it suitable for early intermediates. Beginners would be better served by repeating day 1 and day 2 in place of day 3 and day 4, and progressing twice as fast, comparable to SSNLP. Obviously, it runs out fast and you'll need to change programs when it does.
Hi Alan. Long time fan. This is probably a really stupid question, but should the sets and reps given be the only sets/reps I do? What about warm up sets or back off sets? I am pretty time poor so I often find making time for these difficult.
I do strongman saturday and basic push pull days during week. Works for me. I may use axle for dead lifts and overheard. I will also do farmers instead of deadlift on pull day. I will use log on push days.
You're an awesome guy Alan! 1 I've been wanting a hybrid program like this for a while. 2 You're giving some shine to Strongpersons I've never heard of.
Great video Alan! A video I’ve wanted your take on would be incorporating power lifting, weightlifting, and strongman. My goal as an early intermediate is to do all of them at once as I can progress super fast before I decide to only choose one sport to focus on.
Hey I made it into your video at 3:18 . Thanks for the shout out mate.
At 9:33 too see you lifting heavy stone 💪💪💪

Alec Enkiri about to blow up and it’s about time. That man has helped me SO MUCH with training and he’s the real deal. Good stuff Alec!
Enkiri is great. That purebullfit goofball tried to ruin him. He might have discourage a lot of people from looking into Alec.
Alec is the real deal. He ACTUALLY trains like an athlete
In my impression your Videos have allways been good. But now are really reaching a New class ...
Even better.
Awesome content! You cater my needs! I have begun Powerlifting 3 years ago and strongman 1 year ago.

@1:55 pro Tip: Take your beard seriously if you wanna be a really good Strongman and Power Athlete!
I like how you incorporated a lot of other YT strongmen and gyms into the video. Kewl
That's the Candito Linear program, not the 6 week powerlifting peak.
Just in time. I’m thinking of training for strongman
Love the look Omni man
Good luck, it's gonna hurt 😅
How to attention deficit disorder strongman to a powerlifting program.
Really happy to see that youtubers like Enkiri elite fitness are promoted by a more popular channe
Tok a good 3 minutes before I realised that this was not a video about a weightlifter with ADD / ADHD.
According to the pie chart beard is a big missing element on my strongman journey. Great video.
Nice to see Alec here. He is without a doubt one of the best fitness creators on youtube, when it comes to training and deserves more attention
Alec Enkiri is legit. Glad he's getting the recognition he deserves
That shout out to Laird Ross made me smile
Same, dude is having a rough time with all the lockdowns
"bar don't lie"...unless you're brad castlebury then the bar weighs one thousand pounds! ^_^

LOVE seeing Alec Enkiri getting some recognition, his teaching and feats speak for themselves
Yeah except his voice be annoying sometimes
@Simon Illouz Put some training teaching up so we can listen to you then...
No strongman gym in my town, no space to add strongman equipment in my homegym shit sucks man. Would love to do strongman though.
You have a home gym and you can't fit a sandbag in?
Or a beer keg? Stones? Tires? All that can be left outside
Those arms...AND THOSE _VEINS_

The linear version can be used in a off season, though
Luckily, I think the general idea and principal Alan talks about here still applies. Hopefully people can adapt as needed.

Yea haha thanks for confirming, I'm literally resting In between sets of the 6 week program and I was scared I've been running something else

Strengthlete Collective has fantastic hybrid training programs
your snatch grip frame is an insane implement, been seeing it for a long time now, shit looks really hard
Anyone know of a decent strongman gym in North Dallas?
I do strongman saturday and basic push pull days during week. Works for me. I may use axle for dead lifts and overheard. I will also do farmers instead of deadlift on pull day. I will use log on push days.
I bought your strongman template and I’m having trouble putting things together bro 😬
You're an awesome guy Alan!
1 I've been wanting a hybrid program like this for a while.
2 You're giving some shine to Strongpersons I've never heard of.
Support him and buy his strongman program. I just bought it and it’s so legit

I recently joined a gym that has virtually all the main strongman training equipment you need so I've been looking for a program to try it out!
Buy alans program
So why log press? And what the advantages for doing it? What does it work out? I'm thinking of getting one
You log press to log press...
